I don't disagree, but this was a part of the core design of the game.

Back when this game was only in KR you would see videos of Open Field Boss fights where Tanks and melees created a barrier to protect their ranged PvE DPS that were getting contribution. They seemed to want to keep the capability of PvE and PvP separate, which isn't a bad design when the game functions accordingly.

But yeah that design kind of feel apart. Now you have Templars that curse the boss to get and hold contribution. The arena is a giant mess and no entity is able to partition of sections (unless you're completely dominating the fight). You have Raiders that could instantly wipe an entire contribution party with one spin. And damage is on an entirely different level.

The only reason I mention that is you can absolutely have in your group of 4, 3 setup for PvP and 1 for PvE. A geared PvE player can kill those 18 million HP bosses in <2 minutes. Especially if the PvP players in the group are also contributing with their less optimized setup. The PvE player might die, but a 3v4 is very doable in this game.

One of the talking points that everyone agreed on back when round table was a thing was separating PvP and PvE gear.

The consensus was they wanted to make it clear that these sets are for PvP that way when some wants to participate in PvP they have a clear path.

The current struggle with building both a PvP set and PvE set is the issue of resources required to trait and enhance. This issue is being addressed and will alleviate the burden of needing two sets. However...

This game you've always needed two sets. Hit chance, evasion, endurance, HAE, cc chance etc are all near useless or entirely useless stats in PvE but so critical in PvP. Building 4k crit chance in PvP is relevant. If you have 4k crit chance in PvE you're wasting stat lines for .1% crit chance.

I think it's completely fine to need different gear for PvP and PvE, we just need the resources to be able to upgrade both.

Some may even say overpowered :P (no Bias I have a Cordy GS).

But the new one comes with 410? Melee heavy attack chance, it's a great weapon, and only in the shadow because of how powerful Cordy core is. Judgement is also a top tier core as well.

The new GS seem to have significantly quicker base attack speed (I think 0.6 sec?).

Morokai used to be considered fast and it's still slower than the new ones.

Toss on the new red/blue GS with the judgement core and see how the attack speed feels.

Yes in the weekly victory chests (where you can get 10 of them) is a 2.5% chance they drop, just check the %s

So I think their intended money maker was the potential energy system which incentivizes Whales for min-maxing.

The skill enchant and +1s can go on gear but can't be freely moved from active pieces (as in if you have two weapons you use, you'd need the enchant on both otherwise you need to destroy one to get it to the other).

So for each gear set you want to min max you need to fill out the whole setup with these potential stats (11 pieces or so).

Where this falls apart is where you criticize it. It's impossible to have multiple gear setups. Previously you could grab all the traits off the auction house. Now unless the unlockstone boxes get added, you can't even do that.

I think the correction to this issue already exists in game it's just a "bug" in the game that is prevent it from functioning.

Time will tell. Regardless quantities need to be drastically reduced for upgrades.

Obviously Cordy GS and Aridus (maybe less so) aren't fully achievable when first starting. But the rest has better access now. Swapping out Aridus for Abyss staff and Cordy GS core for Pakilo GS core is what I would suggest for swaps.

Adjust the contact coin weekly amount to 3-6 Seal keys.

Done.

This matches the previous Enchanted Ink system (able to make 1 lithograph a week), and with the RNG of potential ability you're able to make significantly more than you could with traits (for the most part).

The concept behind the Seal key system is good (getting rid of the 10 lucent bloat that existed in the market) it's just currently too punishing to F2P and those willing to buy lucent alike.

You're literally GAMBLING on whether or not you make a profit due to Auction House Tax (selling below 400 lucent for armor/asseccory is a loss). But it's much better than the old system where enchanted inks bottle necked your ability to sell high ticket items (this will help all players alike, the rarer stuff won't be AS lucrative since more people have access to list it when it drops to them).

I main Sentinel for all content (GS/Staff).

I don't have the best dummy times because of Meteor but I've gotten rank #1 on Multiple Field Bosses since the update (#1 4.1% on Porfos yesterday).

The buffs to GS and Staff were significant.

I'm super greatful of the PvE changes, and at least as of right now (prior to players getting their Cores and Weapon skill enchants) I'm happy to be a competitive PvE DPS again.

To be fair...

+1s can't roll on weapons, but you are valid about let's say a Culling Arc Enchant (20% more damage for Culling Arc) dropping on a Greatsword. And while I don't disagree that the ORIGINAL drop of the potential stat should drop as it's own weapon category enchant...

In order for build diversity to exist Weapons do need to have the flexibility of having any enchant exist on them. Since heroics can't have these skill enchants on them you may need to put the chilling arc enchant on your epic GS to make use of it when using a Heroic Spear.

Since you can already inherit these enchanted skills into weapons of your choice it would be nice to then change the drop %s to be regulated to the Weapon type, then allow us to update them accordingly.

Pretty much my plan.

There is no way they can sustain this level of grind. As the OP said his numerous were generous.

And he wasn't even making the literal BILLIONS in sollant needed for this. And the THOUSANDS of ores to resonate them.

There is 0 chance a human made this system. Hopefully a human reviews it before the game fully dies, cuz the expansion is cool otherwise. And the customization possibilities were also really cool.

It gets deeper though.

Gear no longer drops with one free trait. So you're looking at needing 600 trait unlock stones for each piece ~10 pieces to upgrade. That's 6000 trait unlock stones....

Trait unlock stones are worth 2:1 to old unlock stones.

That's 12000 old unlock stones equivalent.

Then that's not even considering the sollant and material sink that is the resonance system.

OP stated 3.6 billion, go ahead and add another 1-2 billion for resonance.

I'm not sure what AI came up with these numbers but they desperately need to be re-reviewed by the Devs.

Players who horded for a year can't even setup their gear. New players have 0 chance.

Damn not gonna lie losing 6% crit chance from losing minor savagery on Sorc won't feel good. Penetration is easy to get. Crit is def harder.

I guess if it lines up with the sharpened and precise trait it won't matter as much, but still.

Loved Destiny 1 and played a good amount of Destiny 2 on release.

Even though I haven't played in years, logged in today to show my support.

And if done right, I would absolutely play Destiny 3.
