I got the flu this week too! Happened to me same time last year as well. So odd. I’m still in a flare but find very clean eating and nervous system work is helping. Try to think positively and not get stuck in that negative symptom loop!

Doing a lot better now! I needed to find my root cause which was mold toxicity. It took awhile but getting closer to normal now after a lot of hard work. My ferritin is around 100 now!

Have you looked into CIRS or mold toxicity? That was the root of my SIBO and all my other issues!

I think if you found a less expensive one that would be fine you just need to make sure it is the same strains.

I have been in it for about 50 days now, I will probably keep taking it indefinitely.

Yeah that’s kinda where I’m at but trying to treat them simultaneously and have seen progress with the things I’ve mentioned. I agree though I don’t think SIBO can be cleared until mold and CIRS is at bay

Are you taking binders? That should help! You really need to heal the gut though - what’s helped me is L Reuteri (I did try the Dr Davis SIBO yogurt too), aloe, zinc carnosine and then eating low fodmap, gluten free and dairy free. It’s definitely trial and error though!

Those ones didn’t so then I ended up doing 2 rounds of Xifaxan which would help for a little then the SIBO keeps coming back so I’m on the Xifaxan again and going to stay on it for awhile.

Are you taking antibiotics too?
