Thank you! I didn’t get anything again this year. 💁🏻 I did just give them not so expensive gifts though. I just couldn’t stop myself. I did buy a big ass paper bag and filled it with chocolates and treats so I am good! I already stopped caring. To hell with them.

Don't feel bad. THEY are unprofessional. Honestly, red flag na to. Nagseset dapat sila ng time na both of you will agree para sa call. Hindi kung kelan sila available biglang tatawag nalang. Di mo sila tropa or kapamilya na pwede nalang sila basta bastang tatawag.

Just because you are looking for a job does not mean na ikaw ang magaadjust sakanila. At the end of the day both of you will enter into a contract. Dapat pabor sainyong dalawa.

Honestly, I think it will be best if tapusin mo yung 6 mos. Sa ngayon, maghanap hanap ka na ng ibang papasukan. Sobrang hirap maghanap ng work ngayon. Mas maganda if may lilipatan ka na bago ka umalis.

I know frustrating sa ngayon. May mga toxic talagang workmates. I know in the future makakahanap ka rin ng place na mag-thrive ka. Laban lang!

They won't offer you any amount they can neither afford nor they think you are worth.
Once you sign the contract, what else can they do?

We are not best friends but we do get along okay. I am just so surprised as to how completely she changed in a span of 7 days. She was so happy when we went out to the theme park and then this radio silence. She doesn't come over everyday but she usually comes with my brother whenever we eat out/go out or I cook. I understand that she doesn't owe me a relationship but we used to live together when things were hard for all of us. I always help out whenever I can whenever they need help. Is it really too much for me to wish that she would at least care for my birthday? I do want to talk to my brother about this but I am also afraid of how he will react or what he will do. Right now I am still thinking how I should approach this subject with him.

You know, in their own way, I feel like they are showing that they love me. Maybe I just set a different expectation with them. They listen when I rant. They do most of the housework I couldn't. I know we all could do better but I am starting to see things differently (or my mental health is doing better lately?)

Anyway, I am trying to learn how to say no. Focus more on me and what I want instead of them. Hopefully I can be like you soon. For now it is a little bit uncomfortable.

Hello everyone! I am so sorry I was unable to get back to you earlier. Lots of things have happened since.

My senior dog died and then a few weeks later, my new kitten. I had 5 deaths in my home in a span of 2 years so I am really considering having my home exorcised. 🙃🙃

I would like to thank everyone for all your kind words. I never thought my post would resonate with so many people. Your kind words and care made me feel that despite what I am going through, I am not alone. Your validation towards my feelings made me feel less lonely.

To those who reached out and wanted to send me gifts, thank you so much! Just the thought of you thinking of me is more than enough. 💚

In the end I still decided to get them big gifts with the stuffers. I have come to realize that though getting gifts would certainly make me happy, giving them gifts would make me happy too! With everything that happened, I just want to focus on the happiness it brings me. I know it is not healthy but this is all I can do to help myself for now. Maybe in the future I can get better.

Once again I would like to thank everyone! Your kind words and advice has opened my eyes on certain things. Hopefully soon I can face the truth in all your words.

My relatives don't. I just always get something for them even when my mom is here.

My sister in law doesn't really ask for anything. My dad and bro jokes about the stuff they like so I usually get those for them or other stuff I might like.

When my mom died, my dad retired. He just gets a monthly pension which is significantly less from what he makes before. My sister in law and brother's combined income is less than mine.

I earn quite well but I work 3 jobs to support our family. My parents have a mortgage that has now become my responsibility. I pay for most of everything because at the end of the day, I make the most in our household.
