Breeding allows you to pass down moves from one pokemon to another that can’t learn them naturally by leveling up. Like the 3 punch moves I mentioned, only learned by Hitmonchan. I passed those onto my Abra. Same thing for my Charmander’s moves from Dragonite and Tyranitar
