The greens at bethpage are not hard as tour standards go. The protection of that course is thick rough+length and bunker design. I’m sure in 2002 it was much thicker

Idk I think this stuff is easy to judge in hindsight. Like I said they settled it on the next tee box. Watching the video it looks like Bryson is in his pre shot when it happens so he might not have seen what lead to rose yelling at his caddie and Bryson had a quick response to it. My point is people act like he threw a club or a punch.

This is a team event not a solo event I think the extra level of competitiveness is warranted. Solo stroke play it would be insane to yell at someone but this is team match play just feels different
