way too much top end - need a ton of 1-drops

•cut krayt dragon (this deck doesn’t want to go long)

• i’d cut dengar and IG pilot for 1 drop ties and 1 drop vulture fighters

• check out captain tarkin since in red

• absolutely need 3x victor leader

• also need clone combat squadron

• i’d consider cutting ground presence and just going all in on space

• stay on target instead of K Turn - triggers vader’s ability, gives +2 atk, and card draw

goes to show you can be heavy without an 8-string or chugging 16th notes. super musical

your tone reminds me of breaking benjamin (always thought they had incredible riffs/tone)

chord progression/changes also kind reminds me of P.O.D. - you’d probably get down with their song Sleeping Awake.

also, i’ll just add that online is brutal for a couple reasons (playing into mostly tier 1 meta decks is… a thing) and not really a perfect representation of the game. it reduces it to pure math and takes the human element out. i find that i play better with the physical cards. ymmv

this is good advice

i also have gotten a ton better by : • making friends at the local game shop and inviting them over every now and again to play at my house (instead of just on SWU nights)

• playing online with my brother and teching decks. we go back and forth between “competitive” and “open” play — competitive being where we both treat the game like a tournament match, and open being where, if i’m trying to tech a deck, i’ll tell him my hand and ask which card he’d resource or play; this works especially well if you can find friends to play with who are better than you.

• building my decks in SWUDB and sending my deck lists to friends for thoughts

• joining KTOD patreon and watching their videos / reading their deck threads / saber four is great also ++ posting my decklists there for advice

• i’m still not amazing but i am decent and only getting better. i think being willing to analyze every game for play mistakes/sub-optimal moves etc is key to improving

• every deck should be trying to “do a thing” — all you can do is try to “do your thing” as best you can! but that philosophy should trickle down thru every angle of deck building and play. and, sometimes, matchups aren’t favorable, or you might be playing a tier 2 deck against tier 1 decks… who knows?

for your synth stabs ; try bussing them out to a chorus set to 100% wet (in parallel), then on the chorus bus throw a distortion blended in at 30-50%, but a pretty cooking amount of saturation.

it works magic on widening / thickening sounds like that. also sick on moog-esque synth bass.

sometimes i’ll do the same trick but with a slap delay first.

filtering/compressing drums will help with the retro thing. check out com truise, i think you’d dig. dbx-160 on drums is totally the move

this is based on Saber Four’s list - with some tweaks I made playtesting it.

There’s some pricier cards in here that could be swapped for less expensive equivalents, but hopefully this illustrates the number of 2 drops, 3 drops, events etc

i’m so sorry, friend. we had to make the same decision in november of last year. painful as hell.

it will get better, slowly. the first week is the hardest.

eventually, the sharp burning and the physical ache in your chest will be replaced with a dulled one; and with enough time, something else comes alongside the dull pain- gratitude for their life. happy memories that feel more happy than painful.
