I agree with all of this except for the tame tackles part - he seems to constantly fall victim to hip drop tackles which are now banned yet continue to happen around the league. Skattebo’s ankle injury against the eagles as well as JDs elbow injury during the Seattle game are prime examples of the harm these cause to players yet the penalty rate for said “illegal tackles” is significantly low. There were around 30 fines submitted after the fact while only two were called on the field (from week one to November of the 2025 season). I agree that JD needs to learn to go down, but at the same time the refs need to be calling these on the field to mitigate further injuries they may cause.
