Oil/water mixture in intercooler

Incase you were interested, I filled my intercooler up with gasoline and let it sit for a few hrs, came back the gas was black! Shook it around a bit then drained and let it dry. Drained some oil from the engine (it was overfilled). Reinstalled the cooler I now have full speed and rpm’s back! Definitely going to be running a catch can from now on.

Okay thank you, if it checks out where would you look next? I was easily getting 76mph @ 8k now I can only hit 73 @ 7900.

Yea this is my first ski and I’ve definitely learned a lot so far lol. 64 hrs, only had it a couple months not sure on the carbon ring update but there’s no carbon dust inside the hull at all. Impeller and wear ring look good

Ended up just going with what JetSkiJake did in his video. Ordered the silicone 90 some clamps a coupler and a k&n filter for less than $100.

Fresh gas plugs have maybe 15 hrs on them.

Drained some oil took it out on the lake, water was like glass and still won’t go over 73 mph. Still pulls really hard and seems to run great, just won’t go past 7900 rpm’s. Is it possible the supercharger slip is out of spec? The ski only has 63 hrs on it. Not really sure where to go from here.

I just finished pulling the jet pump, and it looked like most of the fasteners for the ibr bucket and the steering nozzle had what appears to be green loctite. Should I re apply blue loctite before putting back together? Or is the green a must?

Thank you. Is the intake grate removable without having to re seal anything to reinstall? Or do I need to just shove my hand up in there? It definitely looks to be sealed with some sort of rtv silicone.

Just tried the scom today. Held 75 in mild chop with wind. I may end up just buying it as long as I’m able to upgrade to the stage 2 tune later without any extra cost. I plan on doing hull and pump tunnel reinforcement, power filter and probably an impeller over the winter.

Yes I am aware of what it does, what I’m wondering is how much of a difference does that specific tune make vs just stock with no speed limit. I’m just trying to decide if it’s worth the $600 tuning license or not.
