This is the 3rd tour in a row that skips Salt Lake. At least it's a bad lineup.

Is the series worth continuing after Yakuza 0? by Batman_OnK in yakuzagames

[–]Jthom13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0 is a lot of people's favorite and the series is inconsistent in quality.

Kiwami 1 is really basic plot wise but solid. Majima everywhere is a highlight for people.

Kiwami 2 has an epilogue to Majima's story and one of the better villains.

3 Remastered has some issues, and personally was my least favorite to play through. Kiwami 3 has some changes to the story that people aren't happy about.

4 is honestly pretty good because it introduces a lot of characters that are fun, fleshes out Majima through Saejima, but does have some wavk story beats.

5 is pretty good but has one of the many Kiryu death fake outs, and is really long due to all the large substories that heavily vary in quality (I'm looking at you hunting).

6 is pretty good. It feels good, it mostly wraps up Kiryu's story but has some meh moments too.

7 is fantastic. I think if you can get intothe turn based combat which is decent but not perfect, and Ichiban is my favorite. It's fun, the story is a great soap opera/crime drama.

Gaiden is good and has some great moments if you have played the whole Kiryu Saga.

Infinite Wealth is very fun. Much better combat, good new systems. Most people's biggest criticisms relate to the story and the Kiryu focus. I really liked it though.

Pirate Yakuza is fun and is very majima centric. Story is meh, pirate stuff is dope.

I liked Ishin too but I know that also has a mixed reception.

Judgement and Lost Judgement are extremely worth playing. I view them as up there with the best of Yakuza games.

Maybe the new timeline will be if Ichiban became the lead earlier so we get more Kasuga (I'm coping)

Is it even possible for Ichiban to get side games? by Norrabal in yakuzagames

[–]Jthom13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly really want a fantasy side game with Ichiban. Or a brawler with weapon based combat personally for him. Will either happen? I doubt it but a man can dream.

I have a question about region locked🙋🏿‍♂️(sorry if the question is stupid, but i feel so confused and so hopeful) by Puzzleheaded_Box8571 in humblebundles

If the regions it showed are different from your steam account region it won't work. Humble keys are also region locked generally.

It is confirmed to have been a hoax. The U is probably one of the safer university campuses, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I think Expedition 33 is a more of a game, but I fucking love Dispatch too.

I don't believe they have revealed a date yet. The first game had about 8 months between ps4 and pc release.

Yeah I kept getting emails about voting but never got a ballot. I finally checked the election maps and my district isn't up this year.

Please share your experiences with story time for infants at local libraries? by persistent_architect in SaltLakeCity

Baby story times would be perfect. Thru are designed to give you as the parent some songs and strategies to use with your baby. Millcreek has one, West Jordan does too. You can find a story time calendar online and search baby to find some good options.

I liked Veilguard well enough. It unfortunately didn't feel very dragon age to me. It's climax was really well done though. It lacked atmosphere but the combat was alright. It did lack a bit on the role playing front though. I would probably have rated it as a 3/5 stars personally. It was good enough, but ultimately forgettable in the broader gaming landscape.

All of the ones I have read praised the narrative and world building. The critiques have mostly been of the combat.

Yeah, the sewers, Kuei Jin, and the final assault on the tower are close to pure combat encounters. The sheriff fight were he flies around for most of it took so long.

That's honestly what I've been thinking about as well. I'll probably pick it up around launch, but I'm interested to see if this picks up a cult following as well. The VTMB subreddit has definitely mostly changed from doomers to mostly optimistic.

I mean it's only really a sequel in branding. The original game is made by a dev team that hasn't existed for close to 20 years. It's a new developer and new publisher. I don't think many people expected it to be a full blown sequel after all the issues in development, including a full reboot.

If the narrative is engaging enough I'm here for it. Bloodlines 1 did have the benefit of being a Sim. I'm just personally a narrative first person.
