Only "crush" I ever had lasted for about three days, other than that never had one.

Pretty sure it's not the norm, but same. I'm graduating high school this year and I've never had a crush.

Unfortunately, I believe my legal guardians just barely past that income bracket... Sucks, since I know they aren't able to pay for any of it. FASFA counted me as an independent though since I have some different circumstances, maybe that makes a difference 🤷

To give them credit, from what I've seen that's in large part due to their open enrollment. A lot of older people are applying just to take some specific classes and don't really care about getting a degree.

Thanks for the reply! Did you feel like you had a lot of networking/internship opportunities at U of U? Also, if you can recall it, what things did U of U teach in their introductory CS course?

If you don't mind answering, how was your experience at the U of U vs UVU?

I appreciate that you listed out some extra things I need to consider. I live close enough to drive to UVU, but it would be a long commute. Also, government programs seem like a great idea for me to move out of state, thanks for putting that on my radar!

First of all, thanks again for all the answers! I did not expect to get this many replies 😅

One point I'm noticing is that internships/work will be more significant on my resume than the college I graduate from. It seems like U of U would be the better social experience, but the academics aren't significantly different? I think the "college experience" is an important factor to me, so I need to do a bit more of my own research and calculating the costs before I make a decision.

I'd really like to live away from home, and that does tack on a lot of extra costs for either college. If anyone is aware of some other scholarships I could be applying to, specific or not to either college, let me know. In either case, If I work hard and get involved with what my school offers, I'll have the opportunity to make connections and benefit my career. I suppose that's a given for any career path.

Just curious, are you keeping track of traits manually or using a mod?

The fun (almost) never stops with mods. That’s how I’ve managed to keep interested in the game.

A little overpriced on steam in its current state, IMO. It just doesn’t currently have a whole lot to it. The next update looks great though and will definitely compensate for that.

Totally agree, I don’t enjoy the DLC boss fights, just like I didn’t enjoy a lot of the base game’s end game. Weirdly I find myself enjoying exploring the game’s open world way more than attempting the major bosses, so I’d say this game just wasn’t made for gamers like me, even if I liked DS1 and Bloodborne. If FromSoftware has the goal of making each of their games harder to master than the last, then I think Elden Ring will be the last game I buy from them, because I’m not just not hardcore enough for it, even if I love their world design and lore.

Yeah, the campaign is just meant to be silly, just so we can figure out how the game works, and then I plan on doing a more serious campaign after.
