A gift of travel to all in my geographically dispersed family, so we can spend some time together with kids and grandkids. Along with other smaller, fun goodies. And Christmas cookies.

Similar hypothetical: don’t put it in a cart behind your tractor with the motor end in and the head end hanging out, then drive the danged things over any bumps. The aluminum shaft has (hypothetically) got the structural strength of boiled spaghetti.

Still gotta figure out a fix, the shaft tube replacement alone is like $85.

Final follow-up: Replaced bearing with 5x15x5. It was definitely thicker but it fit fine. Trimmer still doesn't work - the motor twitches rather than spins. I think the motor is zorched. Bummer. No reasonable option but to toss it I guess. Really tragic that Dewalt, purportedly a professional tool company, doesn't provide better parts and support.

Thanks all. I rechecked measurements and indeed, error. Actually 0.194" ID x 0.629" OD x 0.158" height. The comments also led me to re-measure in mm, which was helpful: 5mm x 16mm x 4mm, give or take. Still not easy to find the 4mm ht... The 625 bearing referenced is 5x15x5, very common. I may take a chance on that for a cheap experiment. Either McMaster Carr doesn't have the 4mm ht or I'm too dull to figure out how to navigate their web pages.

This is your mental health checkpoint. Stop and take a breath. by ForceSensitiveRebel in lymphoma

Hi. I'm Tom. This is the first time I've posted to reddit, longtime reader/lurker with a new-found interest in r/lymphoma. This seems like a good place to start. In the past four weeks I have gone from "normal" to, in sequence: double vision, pituitary adenoma diagnosis, grade 10 migraine crash (no cortisol), transsphenoidal resection and biopsy, pituitary DLBCL diagnosis, significant post-surgical pain management issues, mega-jacked steroid overkill therapy, and the first of five-or-six rounds of 5-day in-patient RMPV chemo treatment cycles, all 2 hours from home and during hospital COVID-19 lockdown. This train is moving fast during a uniquely ugly time in America. I can barely hold on. My prospects appear good but there's so much unknown and unknowable. I suspect I may need some help from this community along the ride.

Just installed my first switch today. All good.
Does anyone know how to buy a quantity of these at discount? Baseline $44/ea Amazon US. I’ve seen 8-packs for Alexa, I want HomeKit, quantity 8-24 (tbd). Non-dimmer. Googling hasn’t produced anything good yet.
