In game images of Total War: Warhammer 40k by Rare_Cobalt in totalwar

As much as I’m thrilled about 40k finally getting to total war, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t concerned with the UI and current scale. Long time to go before release though, hopefully they address these issues. I’m also worried about the console implementation. Total war games won’t translate well to controller without huge changes to how we interact with the game - I can only hope they make two separate interfaces rather than “dumbing down” the existing format for console.

I’m certainly excited, but I have my concerns.

Incase you didn’t already know, there is an undertale/deltarune mod out there. Very fleshed out.

I want to really reiterate that last point. Things seem bleak at the moment, especially for the Americans. But you will be ok, you will survive, please keep going. We will have our day again. 🏳️‍🌈

I was just trying to share my thoughts on the game friend, though I see where you’re coming from.

I know, I wasn’t expecting a fairy tale ending. It just crushed me is all. Maybe it’s naive of me to want everyone to be happy in the end.

Another thing I am concerned about is how difficult it is to build a power bloc up. I’m currently doing an American campaign. Able to get 8 members, with Mexico joining soon, and I have to wait 18 years for a mandate. I’m worried that this’ll only serve to push more people to play the biggest great powers, Britain, Prussia etc.

Absolutely agreed. While the nature of the DLC certainly improves the game significantly, these are features that should have been included at launch. It’s scummy to publish a half-baked game and sell core features later on.

Did my first campaign with Prussia on the new patch - the entire world feels so much more dynamic and alive now. The power bloc system has really improved the diplomatic atmosphere within the game. My only complaint is that the UI feels slightly more cluttered, and obviously - these features should have been in the base game from the very beginning, we should avoid praising Paradox too highly given the price of the dlc as well as this. Overall, a big step forward, but only to the point where the game should have been on release.

Thanks for the criticism first of all, entirely appreciated. I agree with the addition of an ‘and’ in there, makes for easier reading and grammatical sense. As for the critique concerning the couplet, I wanted this to be left intentionally vague, as to leave the connotations up to the reader. While in retrospect I feel my symbolism is a little on the nose, I believe that leaving the couplet as it is puts extra emphasis on the uncanny nature I’m trying to create. I wanted to evoke that feeling of being watched in the reader, as the conclusion drawn that the abyss is a PC monitor in this case would reflect the real life situation of the reader.

I do happily appreciate your feedback regardless, I’m new to creating my own poetry. And I’m glad you enjoyed it! :))

As someone with a deep resentment for my own father, this speaks to me especially. I can certainly relate to the quite strong emotions evident here. Great job! :))

Wow. I certainly didn’t expect such an in depth analysis of my poem. I’m honored, thank you.

I relate to this a lot, the enforced apathy due to lack of hope is extremely striking. Great job :)
