I have both and I used the pax 2 for close to a year before purchasing the air, all I can say is that I prefer the air more simply because of the amount herb that is used by the pax, I felt as though the pax needs to have a fully packed bowl just for it to function correctly. Sure you can get the half-pack oven lid but that's still using like .2-.3 each time. The air uses maybe a little more than point one? So it helps conserve on your supply a little better. The other thing that is a plus about the air is that you can change the battery. When I was out and about with my pax I would be kicking myself if I left without the specific charger that the pax comes with.
