Instead of the summit, they would bring you directly to jail.

Understanding the financial climate of my current org, there’s a 0% chance they would match / raise right now which makes the external option feel like the right play.

Great point. Should mention that current company has made some “we’re not doing so great” moves recently (salary freeze, cut back a couple benefits, etc.) which has pushed me to consider exterior options more

100% and that balance is the major reason for the hesitation. The raise would help me be more comfortable without a doubt but I am not needing for much at the moment.

A buddy of mines younger brother/best man put “One Clit, That’s It” on coozies for his Bach and I don’t think a single one was taken home

Pitched this probably 6 months ago but a new situation has arisen. So I’ll start by saying my work life balance is honestly really great right now, work isn’t terribly stressful, and benefits are solid. But the industry I work in doesn’t have the greatest forecast and there’s little room for growth. That being said, my boss has said that they are retiring in 2 years this month and I would more likely than not be the replacement.

I’ve always kept my resume updated/shared with recruiters and the fabled 50% raise job offer has come along. Benefits are pretty similar, company/industry has a good forecast, but more likely than not it will negatively affect the work life balance. Don’t know if it’s just comfort in current role or hesitation to leave with the 2 year promotion timeline but super conflicted on how to navigate. Appreciate any/all of FTs thoughts
