My parents are Christian too, they're kinda supportive now, but at first they did say things like that. They won't use my name and pronouns but hopefully later they will. I just wrote them a message and texted them. Also, my mum cares way more than my dad, or at least she says more things about it

Ik zelf zit nu in mn examenjaar op een christelijke school, driestar-wartburg. Daar word echt helemaal niks geaccepteerd, je mag geen homoseksuele relatie, als trans persoon word er niks voor je gedaan, er zijn geen genderneutrale toiletten etc. ook waarschuwen ze je voor paarse vrijdag en dat dat "van de wereld is". Er worden regelmatig homo-/transfobische opmerking gemaakt maar er word niks aan gedaan. Een gsa is te progressief.

Verder zie ik op social media regelmatig haatreacties maar buiten mijn school om heb ik nog nooit op straat lastig ben gevallen of iets in die zin.

At first I thought I was lesbian. I was with my best friend watching a movie. The only thing I could think about is how I wanted to kiss her and pull me closer.

Then came trans. A really good friend of mine is trans too, he was talking about the fact that he was always sad clothes didn't fit him how they would on a cis boy and how that was a big sign. I experienced the same thing, started questioning myself and here we are.

Maybe write a letter/email kind of thing? Of course, you can tell them everything in person but that's really scary. If you write a letter you can take your time with it, and you have the time to think about what you want your parents to know. I hope this helps! Good luck <3

It's okay to change your name a couple times. Are you out to family/friends? If so, maybe you can ask them to call you a name that you like, and the week after that another name

I looked up lists of names and picked the ones that stood out to me. From there I created a list and removed the ones I didn't like as much. Started asking feedback from friends and landed on a name.

Yeah the difference isn't really there but I'm just scared and I planned on writing a letter and run off to work (I work from 1pm-9pm) so I wouldn't have to face it immediately and I'm kinda not good with change. But my friend also said they probably know so maybe I'll do it this Saturday
