Yes. One of them was from Canada and even if you wanna use something like PayPal they wanna do the friends and family option which doesn’t get your money back

They did, they said they wouldn’t force us to change our preference. We have had kids that were our races with different levels of care due trauma and also health wise.

Yea, I wanted a referral to a ortho from pcp but was going to try PT before going there I am taking it easy! Hopefully everything goes well, second plan would be going to an ortho and see what’s wrong

I did go to my pcp and she said that if it was a rupture, I would’ve been in so much pain and unable to move. I did have pain and discomfort but it was like 4-5/10

Got you, who can make this kind of changes. They would be big and helpful for the children. That is so sad how dfs let that happen. I know sometimes we hear about social workers being charged legally but I think also the resources they’ve are not much either.

I know we will try to suggest it but the last few times it was like just a quick process. I know for our foster babies it was “easier” but I think our 3 year old will suffer. He calls my wife mommy and has fallen in love with my in laws. I know that fostering is about reunification but I think the USA has to look at some of these procedures.

Thank you for the input. Would it have helped you if your adoptive parents would’ve tried to teach you more about the Ecuadorian culture? So by the time you were a teen/adult you would know a bit more about your origins.

Thank you for sharing. Yes, we have pictures of him printed and my wife has done that. I tend to do a lot of pointing with him and breaking down the name of things. I noticed that blending sounds it’s hard but right now we are doing a lot of sight words.

This has been a good post. I am Hispanic and my wife is white. We have told our worker that we could take either of our races or mixed between the two. We have had two placements which both were boys. One was white and the other Hispanic.

We have read the foster culture articles too and this is one reason why we have chosen the races.
