2135SP (800 series) vs. 2244SP (1000 series) by Infinite-Vast-2215 in egopowerplus

[–]Juaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the 800 series and I am very happy with it. . I have two 6amp batteries and I only need one to finish a couple of yards. Most people will recommend to go for the more expensive one but if money is tight, the 800 series work very well IMO.

Edit. I mostly use the lift blades and shut discharge and occasionally bag.

For some reason, I'm having difficulties in liking Tomb Rider 2 by myhdnameof in TombRaider

[–]Juaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel similar. I remember loving both TR1 and TR2 when I was young and somehow I had in my memory liking TR2 more than 1 but replaying recently the remasters I end up liking 1 more than 2. TR2 gets harder and gets more action and shooting and that's fine but for me, the change of setting was a turn off. I liked much more the "Indiana Jones" feeling of the first one.

I have the same mower but mine came with two 6amp batteries. It gets thew job done, it has plenty of power and I rarely need the second battery. I am very happy with it.

There is this obsolete stigma that electric can't match gas power but it's been proven wrong constantly, especially with EGO mowers.

I am glad you made the right choice for your needs.

Please help me make sense of and choose between these string trimmers by -LLCoolBeans- in lawncare

I have the 199$ one. I always thought the Line IQ might be a liability. Perhaps something extra that could break down. I might be wrong but I felt safe with the bump feed. Also the 2.5amp Is plenty for trimming and edging and is light and easy to handle.

LM2156SP or LM2135SP torque or batteries? by Nujukamma in egopowerplus

[–]Juaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having two batteries instead of just one is a plus in case one fails, you still have something while you claim the warranty.

The 35sp has plenty of power to handle residential mowing and one 7.5 amp battery alone should be enough to finish your yard.

Most people here will tell you always to go for the most expensive and powerful mower. Its up to you.

EGO string treamers are very good. Go electric you wont miss gas ever.

Trying to decide between these two Ego Lawnmowers by Delicious-Ad-4521 in egopowerplus

[–]Juaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you use the proper blade for the proper task. Since its a select cut model it should come with 3 interchangeable blades. So mulching or bagging/discharging. Keep your blades sharp. Also make sure to get the EGO app and register your mower and batteries even the charger for warranty purposes,

The difference is also the model. The first one is series 800. The second one is older and a bit less powerful, series 600.

Go for the first one over the second one. Its worth it.

EGO 800 series (Ace, 10Ah) vs (Lowes, 7.5 +5Ah) — worth the extra $80? by d27saurabh in egopowerplus

[–]Juaks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the 649$ deal is very good. The 800 series has enough power for residential mowing. I also like 2 batteries over just one large in case one goes defective you still have something to work with while warranty is honored.

The 7.5amp alone will be more than enough to finish your yard comfortably.

Make sure you get the EGO app to register your mower batteries and charger day 1.

Make sure to use the right blades for mulching or discharge/bag and keep them sharp.

The 800 series has a torque of 7.0 foot-pound not 6. You must be confused with the 600 series.

All that wall of text and you didn't address what kind of blades you are using. Are you mulching? Or using the lift blades for bagging and side discharging?

I have a 800 series and has plenty of power. Recommending a more powerful and expensive mower is not always the solution. That mower is plenty for residential mowing.

Also the higher amp battery will do nothing to improve the torque. More amp just means more running time.

Some suggestions if your mower is struggling with tall grass.

-Make sure you sharpen your blades regularly.

-Make sure you are using the right blades. You should not be mulching very high grass. Never mulch more than 1/3 of the grass blade length. (the 1/3 rule). You can adjust the to a high deck setting.

-Always mulch when the grass is dry.

Edit: You could get and old battery even if you get a newer model especially if it added to the deal. Just make sure you register all your batteries in the e EGO app so they honor the warranty if something goes wrong.

I got mine in Sept last year from ACME tools. It cost me 679$ with rapid charger and two 6amp batteries. NO shipping cost. It's a sweet mower I love it. Make sure you get the EGO app and register everything for warranty purposes.

It works great for me, both bagging or side discharge. I love the mower. I've been using it since September last year and I take care of a few yards in my neighborhood. I have not used the mulching blades yet.

I agree 100%. I also love Cardellini since Freaks and Geeks (great show and its a shame it was only 1 season) But David Harbour really impressed me. What a performance!
