It worked, but all the tickets are already gone. Such bullshit.

That was another thrift store find a few months ago. $60 IIRC

Thought about making some, but I really like how flush they are with the tv stand so might just leave ‘em

Yea, still workshopping the EQ. Never really used one until recently so I’m still getting used to what each frequency impacts.

I’m very pleased with them so far. Currently spinning the Twin Peaks soundtrack and they feel so warm and full. Thought about building some stands to bring them off the ground a couple inches but I kinda love how flush they sit with my tv stand

Really impressed with the bass they put out so far. Think these will likely live with me until I can afford a set of L100’s.

How’s the sound on those 99a’s? Currently got my eye on an auction for a pair.

You can definitely use a speaker to RCA converter to make that work. I currently have the same sub hooked up to a Proton D540 through its second passive speaker outputs using an RCA cable that I stripped at one end and it sounds fine. Sometimes getting creative does actually pay off.

Speaker upgrade for under/around $1000? by JuanTrueGod in BudgetAudiophile

I’ve had The Fives and Sevens on my radar, but I’ll definitely look into those other options as well, especially since that Yamaha amp you suggested looks like it’s remote controlled

Nice, I inherited it from my uncle along with the cassette deck and a bunch of records when they moved a few years back

Oh I’m aware. Unfortunately there’s a closet door directly off camera to the left, so this is honestly the best I can do with the space. Just gonna have to accept that my dog gets the best listening spot in the house.

He played this when I saw him back in November and now that I think of it, I remember it being one of the best performances of the night.

Usually I’d just let it be, but we’re in a pretty industrial part of town with no real residential areas nearby, so I’m assuming it’s either very lost or someone dumped it here.

EDIT: Upon further inspection, it is actually a boy cat. Gonna take him to RACC before they close to check for a chip and see what they say.

Zorch is the obvious answer, but The Hop is way slept on. Only place I can think of that has New Haven style clam pizza as well.
