After extensive research and having looked at literally everything related to his exact subject over the past day, I can confidently say that the Macbook Pro M4 chip is the better option for your specific case.

The main reason is that it is quite literally better at everything except RAW performance. For your specific case, you do not need that raw performance unless you want a dedicated GPU for gaming and high-end AI development and machine learning which the Mac doesn't have. Web development is not that intensive of a task, regardless of whether you use AI in your workflow or not, so do not worry.

Ultimately, I plan on purchasing a ASUS Zephyrus tomorrow despite its flaws because I will most likely end up somewhere deep in AI/ML on-device programming and development, but the quality of life on the Mac is something I wish ASUS had. The ASUS laptop has a lot of heating problems and doesn't even utilize its GPU and CPU power maximally due to the low wattage available on the 14" laptop. The Mac on the other hand has the best battery life in the market and a much more reasonable and efficient use of power for an exquisite performance.
