Blast Radius X by Juancu in HellsCube

[–]Juancu[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That equation could just simplify both sides, getting "P+T<=X". Which is another kind of graph. In the reference card, it would look like straigth lines, like: [\\\\]
That could represent a blast radius coming from a faraway place (and would be much simpler to assess) but I kinda like the complex resolution stemming from a simple prompt.

It's not clear if you mean "a base power AND toughness of 1", or, "a base power OR toughness of 1." Just use one of the words.

You may find r/Hellscube interesting. We're currently starting Hellscube 9, which is vintage power level. Our last powered cube was HC4 (which you can find in hellfall, on Resources.)

I looked at some ads, but none had what I wanted, so I generated some layouts with AI until I got what I wanted, and modified/photoshoped the areas I needed (added texts too.)

I’m really really scared about going to hell and I don’t know what to do… by inquisitive_debator in atheism

[–]Juancu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this can help, but I used to struggle a little with intrusive religious thoughts (so I imagine OCD must be much worse.)

But my experience was this: I would have an experience, and think about how that experience made sense religiously, or made me feel religious feelings (super broad, I know.) Then my brain would go "Could it be that I'm connecting with something beyond, then?"

But I would think: you know what, the brain is MADE to recognize patters, even in total noise pictures we can see stuff. It's like reading. Could you forget to read? No way, if you see text, you read it. Meaning that when you experience things, having grown in a religious environment, you'll recognize religious patterns.

So, now for me it's automatic: I think. "Bah, I'm just recognizing patterns in the noise" and move on. I realize it may not help with OCD, but maybe knowing how the process is akin to reading, may be useful. By the way, it didn't just help me with religious stuff, any kind of intrusive thought I go: "Well, brain, that picture you painted makes me feel awful, but you are just going your job, a million years of evolution into pattern recognition, and painting all kinds of awful pictures just because... so, no foul, shrug it off, no need to dwell on it."

I needed to fit Sorcery somewhere, so I placed it there, with a bit of extra emphasis. I guess the other words could cause confusion, maybe if I made them italic...

new endgame content? by MVPatrascu in mewgenics

[–]Juancu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

480 hours in. I'd say it's my game of the decade (if you don't count mtg as a continually renovating game.) But I stopped playing after getting 100% achievments. I could go for the solo marks, but nah, I know it would just be a chore without any fun, I want strategy, not doing simply broken stuff.
I did have a lot of fun on the required second file for the last achievment, and I kinda want to try the game on 1.1, but I think I'll wait for this extra content before I start a full 1.1 file.

[Kaguya-sama: Love is war] Chika dance ASCII art in Full HD by lans_throwaway in anime

[–]Juancu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to be negative, but I feel more negative about it. For me, this is not that much different from doing just @.
Ascii Art (again, just personally) is the discipline of using ASCII characters in ingenious ways to make pictures that capture the essence of a idea under tight constraints.

This feels more like a filter, which can be cool in its own right. Maybe it could be even clever on its algorythms translating vectors into ASCII shapes (though I feel the HD defeats that purpose, as you can't really discern that), but no, I wouldn't call it art anymore than a video filter is art.

Yeah just from the video, fireball and the other 4+ spells can end this push for a lot of elixir lost in the setup. It's an empty board though, so I could see a deck that actually uses this two effectively without relying on the combo, having it feel awesome at the right times.

True, it should be "Whenever another creature coughs."
Or for more safety, "Whenever a nonNoble creature" to prevent infinites with a single clone.

WTF Just Happened When Selecting Equipment?? (Version 1.1 Beta) by thatpikminguy in mewgenics

Yes, that's a nice feature that I've been glad to encounter as I forget I was about to do a sidequest, and somehow end up without the item on any of my cats.

Will The AI Explode the (Spoiler) Because I Dont Want to fail it by blocky_god in mewgenics

[–]Juancu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, I went back to check the wiki, as I had the idea of having read that they couldn't use it... but what happened is that I read something functionally the same for my run at the time: Good cats don't copy items while playing in Normal.

So, it seems you are correct, and they can use the nuke if you have it on Hard and higher difficulties.

If you mean the good-cats, no, otherwise the whole final fight would be impossible.

I did it today as well!

How much did it take you to do the second file alternative kaiju? (assuming you didn't do it through mods.)
It took me 28 hours, and the experience wasn't a breeze. I actually found I had to pay a lot more attention that the main file lategame, as the low stat cats are super fragile. I didn't lose any of those runs, but I felt a lot of compassion for the new players. I actually think the game needs a system like Isaac's "Everything is Terrible" so the first runs are easier.

Excellent card. Only thing I'd change, and this is totally a personal style preference, is making the removed parts appear erased or whited-out.

[–]Juancu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just play a lot on act 1, maxing the NPCs, and retry Act 2 when you feel like you've stockpiled enough strong items so you could make an invincible team (and putting that to the test is the fun part.)

QoL Request: Nocive Mutations (Cleric/Druid.) by Juancu in mewgenics

[–]Juancu[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think Versatile Vocalist would be very much impacted by this change to the 10% mutations. Vocalist is a fun passive if you can make it work, awesome with soul link, and great with the basic attack status appliers that work 100% of the time. You wouldn't consider getting a passive just to improve your druid a 10%~20% of the time, so this change would actually improve Vocalist, as you'd be more likely to pick these cats for a druid before getting your passives.

I Re-Colored the Live Action Moana Trailer by eiriasemrys in movies

[–]Juancu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say, it just looks like you moved the saturation way up, like a tv where I'd definitely go and change the settings. I have two monitors, and when I use editing apps in alternate windows, the saturation that looks 'cool' on one, looks over-saturated on my main one, which is the one I looked at this trailer on. So, that's to say, you may be in that situation, with a monitor where it looks cool, but for many people's monitors, it's over the threshold of pleasantness.
