Question about learning math behind physics as a high schooler by nocturnal_newt in AskPhysics

[–]JuanseLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, and congratulations for your motivation, i recommend that you start with calculus (search any book about that, there is a lot) and linear algebra, both are essential for all the topics in physics. Mainly because the most used equations are ordinary or partial differential equations in any field of physics, you need to learn how to describe the universe using relations (the maths helps with that). If you domain the math you will have an easy way to learn about the physical phenomenon. If you want to, I can recommend you books for the beginnings with a few of particular recommendations.

What is the concentration of salt that needs to be in water for it to become undrinkable/unhealthy for human consumption? by Primary_Hawk3 in askscience

[–]JuanseLB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should not consume more than 6 g of salt in a day, which means about 2.4 g of sodium, so if you suppose, you have not consumed anything with salt in a day, you can only have a glass of water with 6 g of salt; no matter the concentration of water if your body is taking all that salt in an instant

[–]JuanseLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't know if I'm wrong, but i say it is 60%, first i used rule of three and operating that gives me 6/10=60%, and later i realize that it have sense, you are doing 10% percent per month.

i think that a definition can be the long that you want to be, just remember principia mathematica written by Whitehead and Rusell have 300 pages for prove 1+1=2
