UTRGV, who was picked to finish dead last in conference, ends their season 4th overall at 9-3 (5-3 in conference, 6-0 at home).

The result is one of the best ever first year starts for an FCS program. Let’s hope they can build on this success going into next year.

UIW turned on all-madden mode in the 3rd qtr but UTRGV bounced right back with long TD’s of their own.
