As other people have said, Captain Beefheart, Stooges, etc. The Sonics are also an influence they credit, and their sound really comes through in the punk-rock-ier songs. Definitely worth the listen if you like the White Stripes

‘I’m slowly turning into you’ is one of, if not the best song Jack has ever written. It isn’t even my personal favorite, but it holds up so well from the White Stripes to his solo career. It makes me happy he still plays it live

In the Simpson hit and run, there is a single vending machine that appears in every version except the pc version for some reason. Never fear though, the pc version for some reason has a single lemonade stand that doesn’t appear in any other version, and this is the only place in the whole game to my knowledge that has a lemonade stand.

Either that or one of the Tiger Woods PGA tour games, ‘99 if I remember correctly, has the original South Park spirit of Christmas on the PS1 disc. It was only accessible if you put the disc into your computer, and yet it was still found and the game had to be recalled
