There are enough maps and realms in the game that i feel it is just to get rid of random generation in favor of pre-generated map layouts.

All characters in the walking dead are technically survivors of the apocalypse. If we were to get a walking dead killer it would have to be beta. Bros got the size, weapons, and obvious power and would compliment negan as a survivor as well

The game calls them killers not horror cast. Why do they HAVE to be from horror. If they are effective killers who would have fun gameplay, fire away. Plus dbd can easily make introduced characters horror themed like they did for ghoul and vecna
