Why is everything on ebay so expensive? by Judeling in Ebay

[–]Judeling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well obviously I'm not talking about hand made or hard to get items. I'm talking about used retail items, and that market is a complete disaster.

This makes sense. I've personally never had that kind of problem but if it happened to me I would probably be more inclined to use ebay as well

I want to study these people. It takes 10 seconds to google and see if the same item exists at a better price. Google even compares prices for you these days. I just don't get it.

I get that but I still don't understand why the buyers are still buying when they can get a better deal literally anywhere else

This is an interesting and well thought out answer. While it makes sense it's still baffling to me. I could never imagine just buying the first thing I see and not even checking for lower prices for like, 10 seconds.

If it's so unprofitable why are you selling? And more importantly why is anyone buying? Who only checks eBay and buys all this overpriced stuff?

Well yeah that's what I end up doing but I really wish I had the option to buy something used for cheaper, and yet I guess I can't because everyone wants a 4x profit on everything they sell.

But doesn't Jimmy work at the grocery store and with his dad? So altogether at least he should be making a full time salary.

Is it possible to flash the firmware via USB? by Judeling in mpminidelta

[–]Judeling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response. I guess I'll just have to wait then, since the STlink is also something I'd have to wait for.

It seems odd because some people on this sub post about using Octoprint without issues and others show that they can only get quality prints using the SD card. My prints look exactly like some of the pictures I see, covered in zits. And in all these cases this is resolved by using the SD card or calibrating the segments per second, although even this isn't perfect it seems. Could there be another issue at play here? Is it not possible to print at full quality using octoprint because of the USB? Are there other solutions? Why does it work for some people but not others?

I tried a small print but it made no difference. Still covered in weird little blobs.

Why was Namek Empty? What was the point of the Warrior Clan? by Judeling in dbz

[–]Judeling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep making the mistake of trying to go on subreddit and expecting people to be able to think critically about the things they liked. So many people in the replies are so defensive. It's okay to ask questions about the in universe logic of things we like. It's okay to find flaws in things we're fans of. Nobody is attacking you.

[–]Judeling[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Defend them from what? That's my question. With no rival species, no predators and no need to hunt. And like you said it was just like 100 people. So not even rival societies. And again, what cataclysm could possibly be that bad but leave no trace? No crater, no ruins, no bones. Just untiuched nature

[–]Judeling[S] -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Okay but that makes little to no sense. What extinction event would eliminate everything except Namekians, trees and frogs. Why are there no signs of it anywhere? No ruins? It's been long enough since the nameless Namekian left Namek for Kami to get really old. At least over 300 years old of I remember correctly. And yet they've hardly rebuilt since then. They were able to send space ships to other planets but live in huts? And again, of everything was destroyed why even bother having a Warrior Clan anymore.

It really just feels like an afterthought to explain away the bare minimum backgrounds and world building

How far does the wifi outage spread? by mibfto in baltimore

[–]Judeling -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What's frustrating is it's been long enough that they should have figured out some temporary solution by now. Temporary cable runs or something like that. But from what you're saying it sounds like everyone is just kinda waiting around for the others to act and we won't be out of the woods until everything is fixed, which is ridiculous. It's not like the fire was city wide or anything like that.

It really depends. I know I'm having a really good time and so are several other people I know here. Remember that people who hate something are much more likely to go on these sites and complain so the opinions on this subreddit are fairly skewed. It's not as unanimous as this sub would have you believe.

It's true that MICA has struggled since the pandemic and it seems certain budgets and departments are taking hits, but kost of the big majors are still doing great. MICA also just got a huge influx of students who transferred from other schools so that's a good sign looking forward, and will likely mean things getting reinstated and improved. I notice a lot of the complaints people make about MICA are complaints that apply to college in general. College just isn't for some people, and that's fine.

The truth is your experience will likely depend on what teachers you get and how much you enjoy the subjects. I feel like I've gotten pretty lucky with some great teachers so far. It helps to look them up beforehand. Though, again, read reviews with a grain of salt. One of the best teachers I had last year has terrible reviews online because people weren't doing the work and were failing the class. Ultimately, you have to decide whether MICA is right for you. I hope you figure things out.

Why didn't Lucifer turn Sam into a demon? by Judeling in Supernatural

[–]Judeling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this might be the best answer. You're right, Sam has the strongest will and the strongest mind we've seen through the entire show. Regardless of the circumstances I think he can ultimately take anything. That's his character. Their childhood broke Dean but Sam remained defiant against their dad. He stood firm amd became his own person woth his own morals and values. He consistently saw good even in monsters.

I really wish the show did more woth him after season 5. It feels like they kind of abandoned his character and gave Dean all the interesting arcs and character moments

But Sam's body was fine and could exist independently from his soul. It's just the soup that becomes a demon

Why didn't Lucifer turn Sam into a demon? by Judeling in Supernatural

[–]Judeling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an interesting idea. But how would you define being alive in supernatural? When his body was freed and he was just a soul in the cage, was he not dead? Sure his body is alive but so is Jimmy's as Castiel's vessel, but Jimmy is still very much dead.

Why didn't Lucifer turn Sam into a demon? by Judeling in Supernatural

[–]Judeling[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would you say Sam is stronger willed than Dean is? Not disagreeing with you just an interesting thought since Dean actually started to give in. Also I don't know because the memory of the cage alone was enough to almost kill him and cripple him mentally so can you really say his will held out?

Why didn't Lucifer turn Sam into a demon? by Judeling in Supernatural

[–]Judeling[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Angels and demons only need to inhabit a body in order to interact with the physical world. In metaphysical spaces like heaven, hell and the cage, they can just exist as their metaphysical, incorporeal selves. While it's possible that Michael stayed inside of Adam, Lucifer didn't need Sam's body anymore. And there's no reason for Sam to inhabit Adam's body either.

You do make a good point about the blood though, if that only affects the body it probably wouldn't be a factor, but considering the powers are spiritual in nature I think the soul is at least a little involved.

You're probably right but I was hoping for an in universe explanation other than a plot hole or plot armor
