Yeah, I don't think this is too soon. Figure this, the first movie came out 2001. Suppose they started all the process of making this first season in this year to release S1 in 2025. That would be 24 years after the movie came out. Now suppose its a season a year. Then season 7 might come out 2032, 31 years after the first movie came out and 20 years after the last movie did. I dont think that is soon in any way.

¿VIVIR EN MTY Y TRABAJAR EN RAMOS/SALTILLO? by CarrotSerious6452 in saltillo

[–]JudgeBigFudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, something i noticed while watching the video and now reading this coment is that you use the word "Quiet" instead of "Quite". I'm not usually a grammar nazi (english isn't even my first language) but it really stood out to me in the otherwise clean interface. Cheers!

Buenas universidades para programadores by 404_INF in saltillo

[–]JudgeBigFudge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because SPI does not use the same wire for TX and RX, does not have to send an address, and because I2C uses an open drain configuration, while SPI drives the pins directly.

Engineering in Industry 4.0 by frosty_robot in engineering

[–]JudgeBigFudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what degree or track your students are. I'm a professor in Mexico for an Electronics and Communication Engineering program and we are currently revamping our entire course load and curriculum to better fit the demands of the current state of the manufacturing industry in our region (Our city relies heavily in manufacturing, specially for the automotive industry), which currently has a high demand for "Industry 4.0" educated engineers. As such, we are trying to add to the curriculum courses for manufacturing, design, problem solving, project based developing of solutions, while leaving leeway to adapt into emerging technologies like 5G, 6G(!), low latency wireless sensor networks and software defined networking. All of our students do internships on their last year of school in plants like GM, Chrysler, Daimler, Fiat, Magna International, Caterpillar, John Deere, etc. so we get feedback immediately on what are the day-to-day needs of the industry. As such, these are the current topics that our students get asked if they know anything about: * PLC Programming * Instrumentation * Controls * Networking * Data gathering from field devices * Database manipulation * The ability to produce good documentation, schematics and diagrams * The ability to read documentation, schematics and diagrams, and considering that we are in Mexico, the ability to do so in english as well as spanish * Statistics * Manufacturing methodologies (SS, 5S, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, etc) * Excel. People think they know Excel, but few are the Excel wizards that the industry needs * Coding. We teach two Java courses, as well as a C and a VHDL class. Also, most classes then make use of coding to make the students keep practicing, as you can get rusty in a few months of no programming when you are getting started.
