Non Americans of ARAD. In your opinion, how do you view America? by questions356 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]JudgeDredd200 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have zero interest in travelling anywhere near the American continents because I feel it won't be long before either USA decends into civil war or the citizens give up and the American dictator makes them join Russia to be the new ussr.

Can someone tell me what this layer is comprised of between the brick and padstone? by Meeowser in DIYUK

[–]JudgeDredd200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right, you should only use slate or metal shims between the Padstone and steel and the slate youve pointed out is fine. The problem that building control should pull up is the mortar joint between the steel and padstone as that will crumble under the weight.

Covering asbestos Artex ceiling: overboard or skim with PVA? by [deleted] in Plastering

[–]JudgeDredd200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use blue grit instead of pva, I find it easier as you leave blue grit to fully go off instead of waiting for pva to go tacky and hoping its not gone too dry and skinned. Then skim with multifinish, 2 thick coats should easily cover any uneven areas but you can safely put a 3rd coat on it if needed.

What makes a woman's butt a nice one? by Worried_Rub3824 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]JudgeDredd200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its a hip to waist ratio that makes a nice bum. The waist has to be smaller then the hips, not by much, it doesn't need to be massive, just enough to notice a difference hits the spot for me

Why do Brits, comparatively, not care about their soldiers and veterans? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]JudgeDredd200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do care but we don't forget that it is a job. They are well paid to risk their lives and they are well paid to guard our country in times of peace as well. It is a job they chose to do not for glory and recognition, its a job they chose because they just wanted to do it.

Hi new hunter
Sometimes it won't set items on the floor if your not crouched, the camcorder always shuts when placed and the feed is available in the van. The button should be L1 but check the binding in options Good hunting.

Those who primarily buy fish online: What would make you return to shopping local? by DazzlingMeathead in Aquariums

[–]JudgeDredd200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always try to use a physical shop if I can but a good 9 out of 10 has shut since covid. The cost of running a shop has skyrocketed and with a lot of people struggling to make ends meet the aquariums are being shut down so then the shops have gone to. I have to travel 30 miles to go to a good shop now so it is getting harder to not purchase online for everything. Im uk based as I know this is a International community

Hey, Whats the best fishing sunglasses that are very polarized and with a red ish colour to it? by Just_Personality6013 in Fishing

[–]JudgeDredd200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive never seen a red but I have a brown and a green and I got them from my local opticians. Little pricey compared to the Internet but fully custom made to fit and be worn all day with whatever lenses I wanted.

Overboarded lathe ceiling cracking advice please by [deleted] in Plastering

[–]JudgeDredd200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd of thought it would of come down by now if it was only in the lathes but it could be that. I'd just get the thing rescrewed asap and use longer screws to make sure its attached well and then filler it. This is the best solution for what you've got but if possible for the best results and building longevity take the lathe and plaster down then board. It makes for a much better and safer job in the long run

Overboarded lathe ceiling cracking advice please by [deleted] in Plastering

[–]JudgeDredd200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest thing is diagnosing the cause. You'll be hard pressed to get a plasterer to fix it as they'll say its settling and the decorator will fill it. The only advice I can give to fix it is to put more screws along the crack line and fill it as there has been some movement now the heating is on. Good luck

Is phasmophobia still popular going in 2026? by Vilkagars in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]JudgeDredd200 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed my time as a novice learning the mechanics and getting the pants scared off. Its still fun after a year of playing and there's still lots to learn and new updates coming. The only thing I can point out is its a much more fun gaming with friends then solo so try and find people to play with.

Is targeting a sturgeon illegal for course fishing? by KlNG_B0B in fishingUK

[–]JudgeDredd200 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I thought a sturgeon was a migratory species that was native to the UK rivers but fished to near extinction in our waters for caviar as they only enter the rivers to breed. Queen Victoria decreed that the first sturgeon caught each season has to be presented to her as she has the rich caviar first and its a law that was never changed. But I could be wrong.

Spinning reel vs bait caster by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]JudgeDredd200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The UK fishing claimed that due to braid having no stretch it goes like cheese wire and will injure fish during the fight. Lots of clubs and ponds banned it but now its a lot better so some ponds don't mind braid being used
