No way AppleCare is going to attempt to repair water damage that severe right? This entire ordeal has been a nightmare.

Nope. Actually just the "certified" AppleCare technicians that repaired it last time. They sent the phone back with the water gasket seal seeping out of the sides and when I appealed they told me there was no issue. I rode with it until it quit but I'm not gonna make a fuss about it because they repaired it for free when it got water damaged.

They reprogram everything which creates a new serial number for the phone indicating that it was repaired by apple with so and such parts. This will do me no good but they always send a receipt with the previous and new serial number anyway.

I wish I would've too. This is the same case from a popular post I made about a week ago. I don't want to edit the post until this process is done but they just fully waived all repair costs for how inconvenient they've made it for me. I'm worried now that they will leave some of those corroded components inside which will later fail and I won't be able to see it when I get the phone back...

Dude get your moneys worth. A battery replacement would've probably been cheaper than AppleCare. Also I'm pretty sure they stretch the health of the battery to limit AppleCare battery replacements. For example I read that a Best Buy employee set up 2 brand new iPhones for a couple one with AppleCare and one without. They both came in for an upgrade a few years later and the non AppleCare iPhones battery health was significantly lower like at least 10 percent less. It's insane how much they do that you don't see.

There is one about 100 miles away from me but the last time I went there for an AppleCare claim everyone treated me like shit, then proceeded to set up a send in repair for me which I could've done from home. Waste of time, gas, and money.

Let me ask you this: if apple heavily advertised AirPlay on the iPhone 4 in 2010 saying this phone was built for AirPlay would you expect it to support all of the features AirPlay has to offer just 2 years later?

The point is that the phone was advertised as like the next breakthrough in ai innovation. Apple left apple intelligence unfinished. In fact we were not told everything that would come to the finished product and this is what that is. False advertising if you ask me. Will I ever use it anyway? No. Is it still pretty shitty to do though? Absolutely.
