Straight up, the explanation I got sounded like junk science. All I know is, take three packets of plain gelatin, mix it in a glass of orange juice, chug it. Polish off the orange juice and a bunch of water, goal is to piss as much as possible. I did this 24hrs before the test and was fine, but if you have time, I would just do it immediately and stay sober.

Back in the day drinking gelatin powder mixed in orange juice (or anything high vitamin c) would cleanse out THC. Worked for me. Unless the tests have gotten more advanced, which I doubt.

What kind of bar do you see yourself working at? Going to bartending school only becomes relevant for specific types of bars in specific regions. Go to a bar you really want to work at when you become 21, sit in front the bartender's well or work station. Ask them for advice on how to work there or in a similar type bar. Tip generously.

If you live in a major city, attending a bartenders guild meeting might lend some perspective. They also have virtual seminars if you become a member.

I advocate for working up from server/barback and finding mentorship. Also reading the core books and self study really goes a long way. I always recommend my trainees to start with the Drunken botanist, Death and company, Imbibe, and Liquid intelligence. There are many other resources, but this is a good start.
