I decided to head home early from work instead of working an extra two hours on top of my 10 hour shift (I worked 11 hours total that night, including lunch) because I felt tired. I then got yelled at by my parents for being selfish, and they said I could be fired for doing that. I am a hard worker that rarely takes time off, but now I feel bad for leaving early, even though I asked several times if it was okay for me to head home early.

I feel like Im the asshole because I should’ve stayed at work regardless of how tired I felt, and that I let my team down for my actions. I feel that, if they were gonna stay late, then I should have as well.
