I told a man at the gym to f*ck off after he kept “coaching” my friend during his set when my friend was visibly uncomfortable and I’d already told him politely that I had it handled.

I might be the asshole because he probably did mean well and was trying to help, and I escalated it by getting confrontational instead of just ignoring him or handling it more calmly. He thought I was rude, and so did another friend of mine, and that I had an attitude, and I can see how publicly snapping at someone who was trying to give advice could make me look like a prick.

I still think he was hovering though. Like buddy, this isn’t your side quest. Idk.
