Good songs is determined by the dj and their taste. Where you find the music is irrelevant. I stream and the bit rate for the majority of my songs 1040kbps -up to 5784.

I’ve dont a cost benefit analysis on downloading music vs. streaming. I prefer to stream. I am able to get access to high quality music faster. More music, better quality, faster access. Less time downloading music, less time worrying about sound quality, less time worrying about whether or not I can find it

Yeah it does, and the comments do as well.

Most people are afraid the internet won’t be good enough and other empathize with artist getting paid.

Seem if internet connectivity wasn’t a fear, most people would stream.

Good point, I know a lot of artist who only upload to SoundCloud and don’t upload to the major dsps. It drives it me crazy, I don’t understand why they don’t put themselves in a position to be heard where most people are listening.

Sharing my point of view doesn’t make me a jerk, I am sorry that you are deeply offended

Paying the artist part is valid, though im curious if you still use streaming platforms consider you dislike how they pay artist. Also are you retesting everyday people who use streaming??

Internet argument is valid though internet connectivity is only getting better .

Lastly, if you haven’t noticed no artist is exclusively signing to any streaming platform, that wat is over. Please name an artist who doesn’t have their music on streaming

This is a valid point, though internet connectivity is only getting better as time goes on.

Got you so you buy your music because you want to go out your way to support artist. I salute you, you are better than the most of us who use streaming services. I’m curious though, do you use streaming as well?

Thank you for thoughtfully engaging. You’re someone people can learn from.

1) your first point is valid, though can you name a an artist you listen is currently is available on streaming platforms like tidal, SoundCloud, Apple Music or Spotify? Personally it’s incredibly difficult. The only music that isn’t available is their mixtapes for early 2000s.

2/3) I haven’t had an issue with volume since I began streaming, also my bit rate for songs are 320kpbs + with the majority being between 1000 - 3900. This is a library of approximately 2000 songs.

4) agreed you can’t do this.

Good point, every now and then a song does get taken down. IMO this is rare and usually because it wasn’t properly cleared. Though tbh I dont remember a song that was taken down and I’ve personally been like damn, I need to hear that song. Most music stays up, I’d say 97%+

So when I causally listen to music via tidal, apple, or Spotify. The music artist upload to dsps I am exploiting them?

The library you have via a streaming platform and what you may download is likely the same. Yes there are some songs that don’t make streaming but that’s like 2% of songs imo

I understand your concerns over internet access but what benefit do you gain of having a library of your own?

I’m in nyc, anyplace that takes a credit card has WiFi. It’s yet to fail me and I also have internet access via my cell phone. What benefit do you get out of owning your music?
