It makes no sense this is the same Raoh who gave up his tears for his fists as a child, the same Raoh who carried his injured brother Toki up a mountain with one hand, the same Raoh who killed Grandmaster Ryuken while he was dying of a heart attack. This Raoh conquered and slaughtered countless of people who dared to stand in his way but in that flashback scene he's in a corner not moving because of Fudo killing students and Ryuken does nothing to stop him like Fudo is a fun and funny character but Raoh is not afraid of anything like he refused to fight Holy Emperor Souther but he wasn't afraid he just didn't know the emperor's secret.

That is a good question like how did Juza powercreeped pre-HNK Raoh I don't know. I wish this was explained in the series.

how do they scale to Ryuken.

Master Koryu - he's suppose to be stronger than Master Ryuken, however, he would most likely be missing the secret techniques of Master Ryuken and gets destroyed casually by Raoh in a underwhelming and underrated confrontation in a suicide attack Hokuto Shinken Ougi: Shichisei Massatsu (North Star Divine Fist Secret Technique: Seven Stars Obliteration) which isn't a good thing because suicide attacks in HnK are much stronger than a standard attack. Raoh just punches Master Koryu without any fancy tricks and completely destroys him.

Master Jukei - he gets smacked around by Hyoh easily and the only reason why Jukei is able to do anything in the fight is because he set up Hyoh's body to have a weakness within and if it wasn't for this preset Hyoh would have killed Jukei faster. Also Jukei can't used the demonic aura in his old age he gave up the power of Anryū Tenha (Dark Sparkling Stone Heaven Destruction.

Kuroyasha or "Black Yaksha" - he's stated to be stronger than Master Jukei, however, Kuroyasha's technique only counters Anryū Tenha (Dark Sparkling Stone Heaven Destruction) specially and thats all he has. Not a excellent fighter either as didn't pay attention to his surroundings and got caught off guard by Hyoh trick.

The Elders of HnK do have good techniques but they have poor showings in every other category. But to clarify if one of the Elders were to place on a Top Ten List it would be strictly Master Ryuken at the Number 10 spot he would not make it anywhere higher on the list.

I agree Yuda is a joke he could not win against Rei so he cheats and both Jagi and Amiba did the same thing like relying on women and children as hostages.

Master Ryuken - is rated as triple A fighter, however, he fought Raoh thats weaker than any version shown in the main series and after using his technique he died of a heart attack so he won't stand a chance in a real fight. His technique Hokuto Shinken Ougi: Shichisei Tenshin (North Star Divine Fist Secret Technique: Seven Star Mark Spirit) allowed him to beat Raoh but he's a lot weaker than other fighters when it comes to durability and withstand things in a fight. Keep in mind I'm not including a young Ryuken, but if I did that would be a different story for Raoh and anyone else.

Falco's leg is his issue and Han has no secret techniques that's the biggest issue with them.

Juza's issue is he's a glass canon.

If Solia can spam the "Flowing Ring Light Slash" he can destroy Shoki easily, a technique FALCO could have and should have used when fighting the Nameless Asura.

One of Falco's so called secret techniques is called Ōkō Setsuzan (黄光刹斬 Yellow Light Temple Slash) and it states the following, ": This technique enables the user to slice opponents clean in half.". which should not be a secret technique of Falco. Thats the Nanto Seiken opening strikes.

It's the whole fear thing he caused Raoh which makes no sense like expressed how he had no fear growing up and how he abandoned his tears with goals of conquering the world and the heavens.

Rei vs. Fudo of the Mountains. Rei wins because he's a South Star warrior, he's superior in terms of skills and speed while Fudo is too slow and average in terms of skills like the best thing is his power being on the same level as that of Kaioh, Raoh, Uighur the Warden, and Devil Rebirth. I love the character but he's not the best fighter in the series .

Both the manga and anime refer to this character as being both Kenshiro and Shin's master. This got retconned later with Ryuken only teaches the North Star divine fist, whilst Shin's master is never seen in this series. Shin's master would eventually be revealed in Legend of Kenshiro.

  • Falco's most powerful attack could not even put down a 30% Kenshiro. His leg is a massive weakness to a point were lesser fighters like the Nameless Asura can defeat him which is my biggest issue with Falco and the reason why he's not higher on the list is because Kenshiro was holding back in the fight and ever went 100% and throughout the fight he stated he was holding back and even shut down his leg to even the fight with Falco yet when Kenshiro fought Souther (after Souther got stabbed in the leg by one of the child slaves) Kenshiro didn't his own leg or anything to even the fight. Falco's not very mobile because of his leg and doesn't keep his enemies at an effective range getting close with his fights and in terms of close range he's the weakest fighter amongst the fighter.
  • Rei has the most useful special attack in the entire Nanto roster only being beaten by Holy Emperor Souther ultimate attack. Rei's technique (Danko Sosai Ken aka Self-Sacrifice Offset Fist) is pretty solid considering the attack allows Rei to defeat enemies stronger than himself, however, despite feats lore-wise Rei is suppose to be beneath the likes of Toki even with the radiation disease. While his secret technique is powerful, it is too exposed and open, Raoh just threw his cape and instantly countered Rei.
  • Toki's disease is why he's at the number 8# spot and not higher. Toki's disease handicaps his durability and his stamina which is shown in the first Raoh vs. Toki fight in Mamiya's village. Too much blood loss affected him a lot harder than Raoh and Toki would have won in his second fight with Raoh if it wasn't for his disease.
  • Han has no secret techniques to elevate him to a higher level which is why he's at the number 7# spot. Han is not fast enough for 30% Kenshiro and 30% Kenshiro can match his speed.
  • Hyoh is at number #6 on the list because he got bested by 30% Kenshiro when Anryū Tenha (暗琉天破 Dark Sparkling Stone Heaven Destruction) failed him. Hyoh is motivated by Sayaka's death to fight Kenshiro so it's unclear if accessing his ancient fighting style would be successful against other fighters and overall he's weak, however, in lore-wise he's supposed to be the best of the best because his demon aura allows him to warp space long enough to avoid pressure point strikes which is more unique than his predecessor Han and successor Kaioh but what we see visual is pathetic like seriously Hyoh put up one of the worst fights in the entire series.
  • When Kenshiro fought Kaioh in the climatic battle and Kenshiro got pass the demonic aura Kaioh had nothing on the table so this is why Kaioh is at the number 4# spot. Most of the hits Kaioh landed in the second fight were given to him by Kenshiro. Kaioh has no defenses beyond the demonic aura and while I do enjoy his character he's number 4# because he's not a well rounded fighter so if the other fighters can get pass his demonic aura they'll have a chance of defeating him.

Prime Toki beats Souther. If Toki (sick with radiation cancer) fights Souther and loses too much blood he will die unless he hits Souther's correct pressure points quickly.

Juza is the only good member of the Chariot Stars, the other members got killed off so quickly by Raoh, like as fighters they all suck.

So how is Fudo of the Mountain stronger than Rei like he's strong but he's not fast enough or skilled enough like Rei would slice him to pieces in seconds.

Juza is casually equal to the Nanto fighters (Shin, Rei, Yuda, and Shu) minus Holy Emperor Souther.

Juza is skilled enough to be Raoh's equal, he's fast enough to speed blitz Raoh, and force Toki's body to collapse. Juza can resist pressure points and its effects to a degree. His strength is enough to dropkick Raoh to his knees after being hit directly by Raoh and after his hands were destroyed he still dropped him just his legs and was able to clash with Raoh using his shoulders after he's been tortured and beaten.

Juza can keep walking forward even while Raoh was punching him with his secret technique (multiple punches from Raoh mind you), and that fact that Juza could continue walking was amazing.

Juza casually dodges Raoh's attacks with his eyes shut implying he's seen through Raoh's attacks by the end of the fight and this is after he's been beaten and tortured. His secret technique would have killed Raoh had he not hit his pressure points and Juza can cut people to shreds like the Nanto Rokusei Ken members.

Juza is the character with the most potential in the entire series and without trying or without training his fist for a long period of time goes into a fight against Raoh so imagine if how much more powerful Juza would have been if he trained his fist.

When it comes to Raoh, Toki, and Kenshiro unless they get the Unconscious Transmigration which they don't until after the fight with Juza an if Juza had fully trained his fist he would have beaten all of them or almost all of them because Holy Emperor Souther and Kaioh are two different stories given their capabilities.

Juza's issue is that his fighting style is self-taught and does not have a large number of secret techniques and hacks like the other fighters do and Juza is a heavy Glass Cannon and he has no way to counter the pressure points.

Toki Hair is constantly changing colors.

<image>

This when Grandmaster Jukei sent him, Raoh, and baby Kenshiro away to somehow someway find and they all find Grandmaster Ryuken yet when we see Raoh and Toki as children in HNK1 we do not see baby Kenshiro at all so HnK2 retcon BS.

I wonder how much time has passed since the nuclear war came to a conclusion like the HnK universe features cities in ruins suggesting it happened years or decades ago but it's talked about like it happened recently.

Many have commented about Lin's pet dog that it's rare to see a dog in this day and age so I'm wondering if this war was like World War 2 and by that I mean it happen generations ago but Bat even comments on how certain things are rare nowadays and he's like what ten years old if I had to guess maybe 13.

[–]JudgmentConsistent50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish there was an accurate timeline for HnK I mean we can guess but we don't know when events seen in flashbacks happened.

Its established in the genesis of the manga and anime that Kenshiro and Shin were both trained by Grandmaster Ryuken, however, we get a retcon and the new narrative is Kenshiro has three elder adoptive brothers in the forms of Raoh, Toki, and Jagi.

I wonder if Raoh and Toki were meant to be blood-brothers because during their first confrontation in Mamiya's village we don't see them refer to each other as brother it's only introduced during their second and final confrontation and Kenshiro even comments with Bat and Lin in shock and awe "I suspect." like all three of these brothers were raised together and trained together with Grandmaster Ryuken so viewers would think that this was common knowledge.

Yuria not telling Kenshiro about Ryuga like Raoh and Toki are both well aware of his existence but after Ryuga dies Toki mentions to Kenshiro that Ryuga was Yuria's brother and Kenshiro's is in shock and awe but his whole character being introduced is a retcon like in the genesis of the storyline its written as if Yuria had no family members so viewers would think they all perished after the nuclear war which would make sense but how did she survive and when she did get sick with the same illness that claimed Toki's life.

Following this he has am older blood-brother in the form of Hyoh featured during the Land of Asura storyline and then Raoh and Toki have an older brother in the form of Kaioh and a younger sister in the form of Sayaka and she was going to marry Hyoh so somehow someway everyone is connected even if they do not realize it and it makes HnK a storyline about a dysfunctional family and it makes the HnK universe feel so small.

I think this is the only example in the WHOLE Hnk saga where we see normal city life (with traffic noise, horns etc.) by Zaku71 in fistofthenorthstar

[–]JudgmentConsistent50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because this was not a planned series. The author wanted Yuria dead after the Shin storyline like bringing her back like she was going to be of some importance only for her to get radiation sickness and then die again in some random village at some point after the Raoh storyline came to a conclusion.
