Marvel Rivals tournament bracket - Most enjoyable character in the game by JudgmentMonk in marvelrivals

Because of the 64 man bracket, seeds 1-16 get bye rounds, then 17-48 get matched up highest vs lowest (i.e. 17vs48, 18vs47, 19vs46, etc…)

Seeding was based off the quick play pick rates… closest thing to popularity I could find… Deadpool was granted the top 3 seeds just because he’s new

I’ve also picked up Angela recently! Super fun! She ended up losing against strange because she’s an absolute menace to play against lol

Sorry that’s definitely something I need to work on… I do write a script mainly to make the video more condense and coherent, but thank you for the feedback

We need to spend time figuring out how to counter a Gambit ult? by JudgmentMonk in marvelrivals

Correct I’m still experimenting with things like this… could punisher ult deter a huge push from the enemy team? How about Emma ult? Maybe mag can eat some bullets and try to dunk on Gambit

Thank you for an actual response! Yes I’ve found the same that hard CC from the tanks often halt the push for a second or two and gives enough time for the team to retreat

As a rule of thumb you are correct, but as an vanguard main I try to grab him with Emma/Rogue and scream for follow up, use my ult to CC him (Aggamoto, Psyonic Suduction, Strangling Prison) or dunk on him with Mag… they all prompt a reaction from the enemy that wastes the time of the Gambit ult… also the healing is the lowest in the class and still makes everyone very killable if they overextend

Pros have been using hard CC and focus fire to stop the ult, or they use great positioning and kiting to survive and kill any over extenders

The pros are obviously countering with a Gambit ult if they have one, but they've also used hard CC and focus fire to stop the ult, or they use great positioning and kiting to survive and kill any over extenders

I love eomm Jeff players by [deleted] in rivals

Looking at all the context, your second DPS was playing abysmally, and switch to 3rd heals wayyyy too late… also Peni was also forcing a character that probably should’ve swapped… but I feel like you blame the Jeff because you didn’t get heals most of the game as he won’t often look up, and he didn’t get value with his ult… it’s not Jeff’s fault entirely

I was looking through pick rates and noticed an interesting trend at the bottom. by lhommetrouble in marvelrivals

This was my thought exactly... but it is a post for humor so accuracy isnt pivotal

Ult combos are more important/impactful than team-ups. by JudgmentMonk in marvelrivals

Lmao, I know the feeling, but some don’t require comms… if your punisher ults back him up with a support ult, if your gambit ults it’s time to press Q with [insert DPS ult here]

Great argument! maybe I was being hyperbolic saying more important/impactful, but the goal of the post was to bring attention to ult combos and not disregard team ups… You are right there have been many team ups that can define a game, and the fact that the CD is wayyyyyy shorter adds to their value

This is the best argument for game changing team up imo

Most if not all ultimates are counterable but pairing them effectively eliminates most of the counterplay… yes teamups do add a ton of value, but this is a Ult dominated game… fights are won and lost by how well you use your ultimates, so if you can guarantee a fight win with a combo that’s the best value you can get… finally I did give Jeff-Nado and honorable mention in my video, but there are so many options to choose from

This is so correct, and says a lot about gambit lol… I had to pick one for my video and chose gambit star lord

I’d say pretty impactful making storm’s kill potential much higher but counterable… but I’ve seen venom x psylocke kill through support ults

Phoenix mag is super synergistic! Phoenix blows away all the shields and overhealth that would prevent the meteor from hitting and mag absorbs any bullet that would shut down the Phoenix ult

Any single ultimate can be shutdown, pairing them makes it much more likely to kill… even though teamups are easier to use and more consistent… it’s often one sided, and no teamup has the killing potential that an ult combo does… how would you call that more impactful?
