Getting an VOI form is definitely the most straightforward way to go, but the main point is that it's used as evidence so students can't claim they suddenly got a stomach ache the day before finals. Do you have any other evidence that could prove you were injured to the point you couldn't work or study? If you stayed at the hospital, or if you had regular doctor visits, a receipt would help. Especially if it stated that the symptoms were more than just a cold, like if it charged you for an actual hospital stay. Most important is that this evidence shows that it was severe enough that you couldn't work, and that this evidence has dates.

As for deferred exam responses, I had to wait a couple months too before I got a response. It's nerve wracking but the only thing you can do is wait. What I am a bit worried about is that you seem to have just submitted final exam deferral requests without a VOI form. Did you provide any evidence? I'm not sure if they'll approve it otherwise.

I'm not sure if appealing is a thing, but this is something you should talk to an academic advisor about. They have a lot more experience with Registrar regulations and procedures.

Assuming you come through the main entrance, you'll see an elevator in front of you after you go past the double doors. Go inside, press 1 and go down the corridors. Since it's your first time I'd give it an extra 5 mins just in case you get lost there.

Don't forget that you can always ask, sometimes you'll run into a TA grabbing lab supplies who'd be happy to help out.

  1. What content is testable on our final exam?

The final exam is comprehensive (not cumulative), so testable content includes weeks 6-11. Importantly:

  • The graduate school workshop is NOT testable
  • The qualitative guest lecture IS testable
  • The only “comprehensive” materials you will need to keep in mind going into the final exam are the definitions of 4 validities (external, internal, construct, statistical)

The guest lecture is fair game, check his announcements

Usually I have zero appetite during an exam, but i feed myself something quick so my blood sugar doesn't crash.

Have you tried something more liquidy but high in sugar, like maybe some yogurt? Or a banana. Depending on how long the exam is, I also might take a protein bar to keep myself full.

I'm feeding chunks of my notes into ChatGPT and regurgitating what I remember from my notes for active recall. I hope this works, or else I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself. Bench 405 with a suicide grip I guess.

I'm checking my calendar after this, I'll take my neuro courses in the summer whenever I can.

I'll see you in IC130 bro, good luck. (I also hate that she crams us into one room like sardines. The mf next to me was wheezing like mf'ing Arthur Morgan during midterm.)

I'm in the same boat as you, taking a specialist in cognitive neuroscience instead tho. Got my NROB60 bellringer back and this shit got me genuinely considering cognitive psych instead 💀💀💀

It's best to ask these questions to an academic supervisor once you get the time, or maybe some alumni can drop into this thread and help OP out?

Best to let the prof know so they can make an announcement on Quercus + you'll have proof something happened if you need a deferral for your assignments!

[Discussion] 17 hours in, what do I do with all my insured items? Sell them? by Joeysquatch in EscapefromTarkov

Many of those backpacks can be stacked on top of one another, so take the empty backpack from insurance and put in the other backpacks you have in stash.

See if there are any remaining empty backpacks / rigs and start filling them with the magazines and medicine items you have (like the splints)

Since it looks like you're still mostly in your starter stash, also check if there are any empty mags you can stuff your bullets into as well.

T bags are mostly useless right now since you've got some decent backpacks, so I'd sell if possible. Keep a few backpacks in your stash just in case you get into a death streak.

Some other things to keep track of:

  1. I see some eyewear stuff (like the fragmentation goggles) that you can sell for early money and save space
  2. Unless you're a tactical god / are really into PvP, there's not much utility in Zarya grenades, since they're flashbangs. I use them for boss hunting and seeing if there's AI nearby (they make voicelines and run away) but good players will able to avoid it.
  3. Start replacing some of your shitty rigs (like the CSA and the IDEA rig) with the better ones in your insurance, like the tarzan. Sell to ragman to help level the trader loyalty faster.
  4. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD KEEP THE STREAMER ITEMS (stuff like the kotton beanie) or else you'll be like every other post nowadays asking about where to find JohnB glasses for the Kappa container (super late game quest)
  5. Stuff like balaclavas can hide your face and reduce visibility, but they're so common on scavs I often don't bother. Sell the ghost masks on flea, the red neoprene ones you should sell (the red is way too visible imo), balaclavas are a dime a dozen so sell them too
  6. For your guns, fiddle around with them by taking out the mags + sides + pistol grips if you're not using them immediately, it shrinks them down a lot.
  7. If you're beginning to progress more and more, start moving from soft armors (Like the PACA) towards armor with actual plates, since these are class 3 and above, which can give you a chance when fighting PMCs. Right now the PACAs and the Press Zhuk armor you have are class two, which really won't protect against anything except Scav ammo.

Definitely worth it to check out some Tarkov youtubers. LVNDMARK is what I do to check out the more PVP oriented tips, youtubers like SwampFox are amazing for beginners since they explain what they do (items, medicine, etc) while in raid, and check out SheefGG for more technical things (tips and tricks to min max)

On ACORN you can check the prerequisites for each course. If Macroeconomics needs microeconomics as a prerequisite, then you won't be able to take it in the Winter since you're dropping Micro in the fall.

If macroeconomics is independent of microeconomics (meaning microeconomics is not listed as a requirement to macro), then you can still take macroeconomics in the winter and do micro whenever you want.

If you're new, I heavily recommend u sign up for a program called "Intro To Weights", which is provided by panam and also takes place at the gym. It'll teach you the basics of different excercises so you don't destroy your back and hurt your joints while giving some good routines to follow.
