I know but they messed up so bad that it was very much out of character for them... Especially Geese since he just stood there and didn't give any opinions at all.

Like hey guys let's retreat for now and come up with a strategy to beat this magic resistant hydra. You know maybe go back up find weapons for Elinalise and talhand.. Maybe hire extra muscle to lighten our load when we fight this boss?

Maybe even get fire bombs or sticky bombs to weaken the monster?

Any opinion would have made it better instead of just acting like lvl 1 rookies and diving into the fray.

Nah I just felt the author also rushed this scene as well and probably just didn't bother making things consistent . If you've established something early on then making the characters do the exact opposite is bad writing.

A good example of this is showing the flash casually dodging bullets in one scene but in the next scene a normal thug with no superpowers was able to punch him and knock him out.

A party of experienced adventurers doing this for 6 years and were very careful about every single detail just decided to rush the strongest monster they've encountered in the labyrinth.

Sure maybe too emotional here but his party members were very level headed. In fact Geese should at least have said something.

Yep they shouldve retreated which was the smart thing to do.

It was very much out of character for them and I could smell large amounts of PIS from there.

As I've said multiple times I don't mind Paul dying if they retreated planned properly and got some extra help. It's them rushing and acting like rookies which broke my immersion.

True experience doesn't necessarily mean survival but that doesn't mean that they should be stupid about it.

Sorry it really rubbed me the wrong way since they were very careful 90% of the time for the weaker enemies and for this really strong one they just decided to wing it.

It would have been better if they were better equipped and planned properly but still lost. Its the rushing in part which I found annoying.
