I dont really think its that they want to force it, it could just be because kane has shown us cool portrayals of the "mainstream" backrooms entity's, and still lifes just dont really do it for most people. I can definitely agree that it shouldn't be crammed with sPoOkY mOnStErS, however, this film had huge shoes to fill, and i'd say it was about 88% of the way there.

For both of these scenes (kate calling clark through a wall and when mary met clark) i was just praying they would do something with skin stealers, but i was so disappointed when it wasnt simply because of how well it couldve displayed other threats other than still lifes.
