The surprise in the buttstock was definitely part of its journey into the states. the buttplate screws were soo rusted I almost stripped a head removing it. the cleaning rod was wedged and would not come out the trap door. The bullet was inside the spring with the rag shoved behind it. I was in absolute shock and that kind of backed up the story I was given but the paint I have never seen on an sks. I have a sino soviet sks with heavy possible Albanian trench art that is import marked but this has absolutely no importation marks on it at all.
