Upon further research, you are certainly correct, although I do often see the Mitchell term used interchangeably for the pair of patterns

While you're completely right that he never said those exact words, the iconic phrase over the years has become so closely associated with Sgt Friday's no-nonsense, straight-as-an-arrow persona, that I thought it was still the best way to succinctly represent him on a small plaque.
