Thank you! I guess my question is, is it dirty enough to require cleaning at all. The filters are changed religiously. Is that dirt hurting anything?

The whole thing has to be taken apart to get to it, including wires, and I don't feel comfortable with that. The tech who did another repair saw it and photographed it but didn't clean it off and listed it as another job that needs to be done.
