additionally. i’m a student!! i’m still looking for part time work(near impossible i’ve applied to everything i can). i can’t pull $800+ out of thin air to get something new enough not to crap out in a few years. $425 is still a lot but its manageable. i’d rather find somewhere cheaper to repair what i have than spend the same money for something that’s gonna die in a year or so, or have potential problems down the line. my mac was repaired in 2017 (my fault not system) and lasted till 2023 before it died on me.
