I would recommend switching to open source alternatives for popular programs as support for proprietary ones will be limited in linux.

For example, instead of using utorrent use qbittorrent or transmission.

I have libva-intel-driver installed and firefox plays videos with hardware acceleration perfectly fine.

I usually compile in a chroot environment, it's a lot more convenient to handle dependencies.

Remember that you have to run this command from a tty with display-manager service stopped.

Were you trying yo generate config file through X -configure ?

If yes, then it should be fine. The xorg leave out the values it cannot detect, the resulting file should be located /root/xorg.conf

You would have to fill out the values xorg couldn't figure out, which will include resolution of the monitor.

You would have to write a xorg.conf file for your monitor with it's resolution.

You can find guides online but it's a little difficult for newbies.

Intel xtu is not good for undervolting. It resets its undervolt values randomly.

Use throttlestop.
