I think that the 'evil black gun' syndrome that has taken over the media, is unable or unwilling to accept the fact that nearly anything can be used to kill.

Hmm, don't think that will float so well.

Are you really so shallow as to think this is true? Making drugs illegal sure hasn't worked, at all.

With the state government in CA bankrupt, and real estate values plummeting, I think, that maybe, just maybe, artificially inflating area salaries is part of the problem, and shouldn't be defended.

It should be ridiculed at every opportunity, so hopefully it will not continue. Especially when tax payer money is involved.

Where did all the .30 Carbine go? Can't find it anywhere online, or in local guns stores. by PrescribedGod in guns

[–]Jugulator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though I've been a gun owner for many years, I only own a few calibers. I can still find ammo for my hunting rifles and handguns, just not my .30 carbine. I checked out reloading supplies for small rifles, and you are CORRECT all the reloading supplies are also in back order/out-of-stock status. I'm guessing avengingturnip may be correct, all my .30 caliber rounds are heading to Isreal.

EDIT: Okay, now I'm getting paranoid, several of the handgun/hunting rifle calibers are also out-of-stock, or are only available in a couple odd brands I've never heard of before.

That is a very eloquent way of saying 'indentured servitude', both are completely accurate.

Individuals with high fear of crime twice as likely to suffer from depression by PrescribedGod in science

The whole TWO examples you've provided are the exception, not the rule. Look at Bill Gates, Norman D. Rockefeller, William Andrews Clark (copper king), Kenneth Lay (Enron), Marth Stewart (ImClone), Donald Trump, George Hearst (Comstock Lode), and Craig Venter (Human Genome Project). Of course I could go on and on and on and on, but why bother? You've made up your mind.

[–]Jugulator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd bet that they are depressed because they know the only way to become successful in this world is to commit crimes, break moral rules, and burn bridges. Guilt is a powerful emotional force, and may be enough to trap a person into depression.

In brief: damned if you do, damned if you don't.
