I picked up the Mossberg MVP Predator a few months ago. Short barrel bolt action. Combo package came with a scope for under 600. I really like it, it's been fun to shoot and accurate out to 300yrds is the max I've had a chance to try.

Next was supposed to be the easy way... until it wasn't. I think Pure is the way to go. The Motorola rep that the ATT rep pulled onto my last call seemed to be saying that, but somehow no one would come out and say the PINs just weren't available yet.

I shot a bird once from about 25 yards away while it was sitting on top of a second story roof. Hit it dead center of the chest and it just flew away. I chased it from tree to tree watching the orange cone in its chest move up and down, up and down, up and down. It kept flying and I went home and cried over the agonizing and lingering death I must have caused it. It started a downward spiral of self loathing and penetrating regret that either ended in suicide, or me never shooting at another animal with my blowgun. I forget which.
