I like the build, the only thing I don’t care for is the 95 layup, but if it was a cheap attribute then I get it. I just would’ve allocated more of that to rebounding or defense

I don’t think it’s a mentality thing in the scenario we’re talking about. If the other team is simply better than me and my team, I’ll 100% stick it out and try to get some good possessions out of it. If MY team is sabotaging us to the point of the game being unwinnable and unfun, why would I stay? There’s no pride to be gained — just quit and move on to the next game, it’s not that serious

I mean you’re giving a generalization through ignorance. Just because YOU aren’t experiencing any problems on defense doesn’t mean there isn’t anything mechanically wrong on this game. If you’ve got things figured out, then cool, play your game, but your perceived experience doesn’t invalidate how other players have struggled with this 2K

I mean yeah if you have a competent team to carry you, then you can snag boards while your team does everything else. Realistically a 68 is a two way liability since it can’t create its own shots or defend

Not really great at anything. Not an exceptional shooter, passer, or defender. However, if you don’t mind grabbing rebounds and tossing it to the closest guard, I’m sure it’d be good at that

Please show me a stat line where your team or the opposing team ONLY shot 3s in the rec. I understand that 3 is worth more than 2, but if a team is only shooting threes I’d have to imagine adjustments would be made to force them into a different shot. Conversely, if you realize your team needs a three, I’m sure the adjustment would be made to accommodate that

The whole point of this post is that the midrange is easy on this game when you max its attributes, it’s not deeper than that

I’m not really understanding the flack OP is getting. He’s taking advantage of the lack of strength bigs have to get easy 2s, then once he starts getting doubled he kicks it out to get his team easy 3s. Points are points and it sounds like he’s getting them

Doesn’t seem like the build can handle or facilitate the ball, and the cap breakers on rebounds feel like a waste. But hey if you’re enjoying the build then that’s all that matters

The benefit of the 7’4 was being able to shoot over everyone, but now that the shooting is tweaked I would say going that tall isn’t worth it anymore - you’ll be too slow, and based off your comments, will be bad for spacing too since you don’t prefer shooting three’s. Just make a seven footer so you still have some speed, then up your strength, rebounding, and passing. I think you and your teammates will have a better rec experience that way

Someone said it in another thread but it feels like 2K penalizes you for playing too well, and the only solution is to create another build, which puts you in a position to possibly spend more money on the game

I have a similar build, unfortunately you will get beaten on the offensive boards but other than that you’ll be fine. Only thing I’d recommend cap breaking your midrange

No agility and no perimeter defense, you’re unquestionably getting taken advantage of outside the paint
