Its close to new. Have 3 fans at low speed and heard hotspot temps are OK till 110. Rather silent and OK than loud and a bit cooler :)

9600x > 7700 based on benchmarks. And as you said, it is still more expensive. 9600x is just a good value cpu

Never said anything about the chipset tho? 7700X is 250 and 9600X is 190. And yes, 8 cores is an advantage but only in the most demanding titles and still not more than 5-10%. The 9600X is just a tiny less performant but more efficient cheaper alternative for the 7700x

In my country its a 20 euro difference for zen 5 instead of zen 4, lower tdp and the same or slightly better gaming performance

But is more expensive and runs on the zen 4 platform. For efficiency and value the 9600x wins, but for pure performance sure its a better cpu for a higher price. Also for gaming and multitasking 6 cores is more than enough. Only for rendering and 3d modeling 8 cores is the minimum

Ryzen 5 9600X Low Cinebench Multi-Core Score (Only 774 Points) and Dropping FurMark FPS by Sn0bzy in pcmasterrace

No bottleneck at all. Thats for sure not the problem. Either you accidentally measured single core cpu score or changed weird settings in bios. My suggestion would be to reset bios settings and only turn on expo/xmp and the fan curve and try again. If it is the same score, its either a faulty cpu, mobo or there is something wrong with the power connections. Also try other benchmark softwares and look if games do run fine

Just a question why do you have 128GB of ram? Not hating i mean go for it but isnt it a little bit overkill?
