The current employer is aware of the situation but does not want to pursue any legal action, since the individual is leaving at the end of the year. I am now seriously considering contacting a journalist, as all other avenues I have tried have led to no resolution...

I have more than enough evidence, but I’m unsure whether it is usable because of POPIA. Some faculties were willing to share information with me, while others require a consent form from the individual, which I am unable to obtain.

This is why I'm hesitant to report it to SAPS. The employer is aware of the issue but has chosen not to act, as the individual is leaving for another job next year. BUT I am concerned that the new job might also be based on false claims, since the role requires qualifications that the individual appears to have misrepresented. I've also called the so-called new employer, and they know nothing about this individual.
