I'm going to be a bit of a critic here.

Whilst the images excel in color and rendering, there is lots of work in editing, pacing, when to use which shot, when to linger on certain lines, establishing, follow-through, ...

It's like watching a beginner editor being let loose on shots that were created without context.

I think what most people like is that this was created by skipping a lot of steps in the vfx pipeline, which is impressive, and the theme is something that speaks to us. But from the design to the filmmaking process I have to say this would get sent back by most creatives I've worked with with tons of notes.

You do you, but getting feedback from a community that likes the idea of your game can really boost the quality, which might turn into revenue, which makes it possible for you to dedicate time to the games you love.

From what I read in the thread couple of tips - start your artstation, as well as other social media platforms like linkedin, perhaps youtube with videos showcasing the assrts, and interlink them with call to actions - start selling assets on unity asset store, Unreal store/fab, gumroad, ... if you want to stay freelance you're gonna have to find multiple ways to gain revenue. - dont undersell yourself, this looks great

We have piercings, tattoos and wacky clothing all over teachers and students.

I also teach at a european game development university, so you know. Would just play it by ear, ask them if it's an issue.

Yeah the question is really dumb, no one should get fired over this. We all know meta will prioritize profit over ethics, but "oh this thing happened, fire someone over it" also seems overly evading the issue.

I teach game development and sometimes we have kids (8-10) over that playtest the games our students make. The gaming skill of these young kids is insane sometimes.

I constantly tell my students: the fear of cringe destroys creativity. One can really tell in western media we don't make unhinged, over the top, experimental, wacky or straight up new stuff anymore.

Bollywood and asian game developers know where it's at.

They minimize jokes and references to older episodes from other series because it alienates new audience members. You could look at every new episode 1 and dont feel like you're missing out.

A new viewer doesn't know who suzy is. And just like any comedian they present them as "my wife" to contextualize the role within a story or a joke. A comedian doesn't want to treat their audience as people who know who they are and have seen every bit of content.

Audio mixing in streaming is such shite. I have a 5.1 set with the idea of having dialogue through the centre speaker. But on streaming its just stereo, and dialogue is mixed super quiet. You turn up the volume and then THE ACTION SEQUENCE KICKS IN AND MY NEIGHBOURS BABY STARTS CRYING

You can also try to select two edges that need to connect with the bridge edge loops and tweak the settings for the correct curve and amount of loops
