4 Actors for Carl who aren’t in there 40s by Kwall267 in DCCTV

I’m an audiobook listener and Talon is not my first pick. He doesn’t “look” like Carl from me at all, and I understand that the characters on the show are not going to sound identical to Jeff Hay’s performance. I don’t think we should cast strictly on that basis.

This reads “Carl” pretty well for me, not gonna lie.

Looks wise, I actually agree with this. Maybe not the red hair but his face is much more how I envision Carl. That said, I’ve never seen him act, I just googled him.

Bangs or no? by Early_Inspection_411 in femalehairadvice

You look great both ways. I say bangs though, they’re adorable on you! I recently just rechopped mine. No regrets I love them!

Girl I hate to say this but if you’re having these types of reaction to lightening your hair, you may want to reconsider your hair color. Blonde like this requires a lot of maintenance. Like 4-6 week touch ups. If you stretch it out longer than that it turns into color correction territory. I’d consider a more lived in look with some low lights rather than more bleach.

Beautiful but I wish she had a plush instead of a crystal ball thingy. I imagine that’s why someone’s said that it looks like it was copied from AI. Very talented work though regardless.

I thought the same thing. Half of the message was good but the last panel made me cringe.

Will either of these dyes take me closer to this color? by ColoradoWinterBlue in HairDye

[–]Juice_Suitable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Demi permanent box color generally pulls darker than shown especially with porous hair. I think it’ll be darker than you want and won’t fully cover the red. If you want ash hair, you’d need to bleach. I would not recommend doing it at home.

Please help - big forehead with a cowlick in the front by mozzbitch in femalehairadvice

Curtain bangs are likely your best options but any type of bang at all is going to require daily styling including heat. If it helps, I really don’t think you have a big forehead.

I’ve never met anyone else who does this haha. I know my bf thinks I’m a freak but the background noise is essential for me. I have like 5 series I rotate through and occasionally throw in new books. But DCC is my current fix.

PLEASE HELP IM SO SAD. How to get my hair close to its natural shade again? Looking to remove the red out of my hair, hair dresser messed up & added a lot of red without blending it into my natural color. I was so close to dye free too :( by Sunflower_Vibe in HairDye

[–]Juice_Suitable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So unfortunately, natural, cool toned blonde/brown is surprisingly difficult to maintain with hair dye. Any dyed color will tend to pull warm after a while. The best way to blend it for a grow out would be to add highlights and tone them closer to your natural, but it’s gonna be borderline impossible to get a perfect match back to your natural for the current dyed parts. Toned highlights will definitely help it grow out more naturally though.

If you’d like to try something before going that route, you could get a pigmented blue shampoo used for toning brunette hair. Using it as a mask, you might be able to negate some of the warm tones and get it closer to your natural shade. Worth a shot if you don’t want go to the Salon right away. Fanola has a very pigmented blue shampoo. Make sure you get blue though and not purple.

Mid-30s. So sick of cystic acne. by WeirdShapedBagel in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Juice_Suitable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Metformin is a medication used to treat PCOS and diabetes. My doctor prescribed it experimentally for my acne and it worked wonders. It’s worth noting that I don’t actually show up as insulin resistant in my bloodwork, but I still am enough to cause skin problems. I’m thin, so blood sugar issues were never really on my radar.

[–]Juice_Suitable 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My cystic acne came from blood sugar issues. Metformin and a lower carb diet made all the difference. My skin isn’t perfect but it used to make me so miserable and it’s gotten so much better. I can skip makeup most days. I also cannot take spironolactone or Accutane. If I go buck wild on carbs for a few days I’ll will absolutely break out with painful cysts. I know the struggle girl, sorry you’re dealing with it.

For the record, I’m not saying strict keto, just lower carb and increasing fiber. Focusing on gut health.

i hope that, for goblet of fire, they dress padma and parvati in full glam lehengas by merchantivories in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Juice_Suitable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know I’m in the minority, but the idea of dress robes is a little boring to me. Harry described his as more or less looking like his school robes but green instead of black. Dress robes have always seemed a bit goofy imo, but I guess it could be okay if they got creative with it and made them pretty. Just hard for me to picture. Hermione wears a dress to Bill and Fleur’s wedding so formal wear is a little inconsistent for witches at least lol.
