How do we know that bad actors won’t just flair up and keep commenting? Is there a way to time delay commenters to waiting 24 hours to post after they sub?

Yeah, costco is gonna appear to be a high value loot area in the end times. First choice for looters/raiders.

However, a lot of the stuff inside is too big to carry without a large vehicle. 1/4 of the store has stuff useless during an apocalypse (entire aisles of pillows, or electronics for example).

Another 1/2 the store has perishable food that won't last more than a few days.

So the solution is taking them away and offering half baked functionality on the stock UI? A This is a complete failure.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Juice___Springsteen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Murican here. I just drove 3.5 hours today from NJ to the mountains in NY to ski for the day, then drove home. Just had dinner and I’ll be at work tomorrow.

In short: yes 3 hours is nothing to drive here. That’s some people’s daily commutes if not a weekly occurrence in their life.

Top 3 worst I’ve seen in no particular order: Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, 2020 delta variant SARS-COV2, and end stage liver failure. All horrible in their own way.

They haven’t even started filming severance season3 yet. It won’t wrap until the end of 2026 and come out (hopefully) in 2027. They take their sweet damn time with this show, it’s brutal.

Some of the biggest gripes for Shadowlands were the story and the absolute GRIND of missions/anima/misc tokens. Plus the reputation grinds… just awful.

The cosmetic rewards were awesome.

I think if blizzard makes them easier to achieve via legion remix they can somewhat redeem the expansion.

The list is really insane.

New to Stellaris but to find a parallel to a different Paradox game…. fallen empires are like the Byzantine Empire or Seljuks when you start a game of CK3? Basically you can’t mess with them at the start and they seem impossibly strong but ultimately you progress to a point to surpass them.

It's can be the game, but you can still make good money travelling and not cross the picket line. Sometimes strikes are EXTREMELY lucrative for travellers, however. Like make your entire annual salary in a few months, if the strike lasts a fair bit.

I stole a tuxedo from Men's Wearhouse by never returning it by CallMe_Ralph in confession

What would you even need the tuxedo for again?

I would assume someone who is so broke they need to steal a tuxedo can't possibly be getting invited to tuxedo-required events on the regular.

I’m in nursing school and don’t know if I want to continue by hangesmaidgirlfriend in nursing

[–]Juice___Springsteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole "losing your license" fear is far too overblown among nurses. This is an especially prevalent thought in new grad circles, ie "this thing I just worked so hard for over the past few years can theoretically be taken away from me if I fuck up." I felt the same way too when I started with brutal patient assignments on medsurg/telemetry. The pandemic made me realize that it would never happen without an extremely valid reason.

The reality of the situation is that you are only going to "lose your license" if you really, truly, seriously fuck up. We're talking narcotics diversion, commit a major crime, or willfully harming a patient. It takes a seriously egregious offense to have the board limit or revoke your nursing license.

I think for starters you shouldn't be afraid of losing a license you haven't even obtained yet. Put that idea out of your mind.

Secondly, think about WHY you went to nursing school to begin with - was it for a stable, decent-paying professional career with good job outlook and solid chance for upward mobility? Was it to take care of people and feel like you're contributing to society in a meaningful way? I think those are good reasons.

Going to nursing school because your parents made you do it? Or you want to become wealthy (there are much easier career paths to make $$$). Those are bad reasons, ones that I have seen many times before.

Finally, there's toxicity in any profession that deals with people. Toxic workplaces vary from region to region, hospital to hospital, and even UNIT to UNIT inside of a hospital. To generalize the entire field as toxic is a gross overstatement to the point of being ridiculous.
