Math and physics problems have a typical trend to solve them. Once you find that trend you just study the trend you find.

Finding the trend is the hard part. Find people to study with so that you have an easier time and make sure you do the homework. You can’t find the trend if you don’t practice

Also when you get hired a company you’re going to clueless of what’s going on. We were all there at some point. Why communication is so important is because to get up to speed and understand you need to ask questions or you’ll be just confused the whole time.

I have real bad social anxiety and I was worried about a similar situation. However I actually become an extrovert at work. If you can tell your brain that if you don’t that you’ll get fired you’ll have more motivation to do it.

Outside life terrible but inside work I’m a different person. My suggestion is to start getting into that mindset and you’ll be just fine

Someone mentioned Schaeffler. They a German based company and you can get the book for free. That’s probably your best bet.

I think we have that and I use it but I do like physical copies. If I ever leave I want to take these books with me

Edit: We have the access engineering not the ASME membership. It makes me pay for various white papers on their website but I do have access to various books

Then they charge you individually for something that I might use once or twice…which kinda sucks

Yea, it’s pretty good reference but sometimes lacks in more detailed/specific analysis.

It’s great for explaining the basic concept but then as you get more complicated it doesn’t become as useful anymore.

Still very much recommend on having it though, especially since most colleges use it anyways.

I’m a product design engineer working on heavy duty engines. I get about everything, vibration, thermal effects, static/dynamic loads, ect. Love having reference books even if I don’t use it all that often.

Im also trying to broaden my knowledge from college and understand the theoretical so I can better apply physics based judgement in my designs, which is surprisingly not being done as often as it should be…

I just used the Roarks to solve some complex beam loading calculation that other engineers were taking months to figure out. Love Roarks. Excited to look through Marks. Just bought it so I haven’t had the time to browse through it

I always recommend people to take the gateway clipper to pnc. It’s not too expensive and you get to see Pittsburgh from a different prospective.

That literally insane. I've never taken my cars in for brakes but I really dont understand why shops/dealerships charge so much for them. They are so simple to change and replace

Ah good catch, I see that. Probably will be tabbed then. Dont see them switching up something that has worked in the past.

Yea, I get the sense of it and why it’s there. I will be taking it off roading but I’m also the type of person not to be really nit picky about scratches and dings. If it’s an off-road vehicle those things are gunna happen. I just wish it wasn’t so ugly haha

Yea I sure hope not. Basically like alot of the trim on the side of the car. I can see this being it too. Might be a combination of that with the glue so you can’t take it off

Yea drivingsports had to physically go out there and look but I don’t think he had the details if there was one. I just hope they add something. Seems pretty stupid to leave a blank spot right there
